I've been in contact with Herm Johnson who in turn contacted Dennis Firestone and nothing solid but Dennis' response was...
"Sounds interesting. Are you attending and if so are you driving? Maybe we can go wheel to wheel one more time before the old man reaper takes us away for good."
What would these guys need to do to get licensed? Any exemptions or waivers being granted?

Just had an email exchange with Dennis Firestone and he is quite interested in attending. He mentioned that he attended the 20th or 25th event at Willow. He is looking for his old Crossle 32/35. I asked him for the chassis number but haven't heard back yet. Anyone out there have this car?

Anyone bringing an ADF, Anson or Gurney Eagle to the event?
This is shaping up to be something really special.
I received a call today from Kevin, who let me know the homologation process is complete and the certificate is in the mail.

Jason, great news, another strong CF contender !
To answer Dougs question, we have reason to believe there will be 2 Eagles there, along with David Loring who won at Road Atlanta in one in 1978, and several ADF's, both Bruns and continuation cars.
Anson, hmmm, might be harder to find one still in running condition over here, or anywhere maybe ?, I remember seeing one years ago, anyone have any leads for an Anson FF1600 in North America ? Maybe autocrossing ?
Apologies to David Twiss of Topsfield, Mass., who Steve Maxwell reminded me we have seen locally here in New England as recently as a few seasons ago in his Anson SA-7.
So David, if you read Apexspeed, you need to have your unique FF at Road America next July !
Certainly someone on Apexspeed knows, or knows how to contact, David .....
There is an old thread here somewhere about the sale of at least two Ansons, and the remaining part of the actual company (jigs, molds, tooling and everything). I don't know how that ever turned out, but I remember it being all offered up for $50k (including 2 cars).
Can't wait to see the ADFs in person.
If someone is looking for an Anson, talk to Mike McHugh.

Hey Tom, With the recent report from Michael Rand that the Monoposto FF70 CFF (73-81) cars will be included in the VFF race group my Lola T440 should be moved from line #8 of the regional CF list to the Vintage list. We now have two vintage classes; VFF (pre 73') and vintage CFF (73-81).

Scott, I moved you to the VF group and took the liberty of removing the "tentative" label from your name, because I know you will be there!
Greg, I tried to talk GT into dragging his PRS out of the barn and bring it to the event but he wasn't bitting.
Ed
Neil Porter is planning on bringing an ADF.
I am sure that I will bring cars for at least my daughter Megan and myself.I have two other customers that are talking to me.I hope to get Scott Segers in a car as well. Mike Sauce
Post #99 takes us to 100 cars, and we are still in 2008. With some solid promotion at the grassroots/club level, it is reasonable to expect close to 200 FFds next July!

I just bought a PRS and if I can get it rebuilt, running and on a trailer (not mine) I will try and make it out there. I just wish the LRP Nat'l wasn't the next week.

Mike Allen's Viking is an inboard suspended chassis and would therefore be in the FF field, not the CF field.
Thanks!
Trout <º{{{><
Remember gang, there are multiple races for FF and CF cars. The Viking is indeed a FF but could run in the Regional FF race run in conjunction with the CF race, and ADF's are in fact CF legal cars.
Read the Participation Guidelines closely and you'll find we have a way for 99% of the Formula Ford or Club Ford owner/drivers to participate. The Participation Guidelines are in another thread under this Forum.
How cool would it be to see Bob Lobenberg in either his championship winning ADF or his championship winning Viking ? And R.K. Smith in the original Centerlines Swift DB-1 ?
Along with Loring and Kester and Weitzenhof and Pritchard and Lazarro and more.
The Parade of Champions, scheduled for lunch time both Saturday and Sunday, will allow past champs form the US and Canada to drive in a non-competitive [yeah, right] format in either their own winnng cars or one as similar as can be arranged. From Skip Barber to Chris Keller, we hope to have 15 plus past champs in attendance.

Thanks Trout, I will move the Viking to FF. I had to move the Hayashi to FF, too, after sending a PM to Dwayne; I had no idea where it went. He gave me a little history of the cars. cant wait to see it.
As Mike says, many cars are eligible for multiple races, so for the list I have just put them into what I think is the most appropriate class, but if I mess up, let me know.
Take care.
Tom
Tony Foster with Fubar Swift DB-1 may put Jim Render (two Sprints wins) in for a session or two.l
Since there are so many seldom seen FF's planning to be brought to this event it would be interesting to have pictures of them posted here for everyone's viewing pleasure. My totally original Lola T440 restoration is nearing completion, just requires a couple warm days for the final paint, & I'll post a couple pictures as soon as it's back in Lola Yellow.

I know that the topic of group transport has been brought up before. But, unless I've missed it, I've not seen any solid plan for the northeast. I know of two drivers from the New England area who, due to scheduling issues, would like to have the cars brought to the event so that they can simply fly in and out.
Please let me know if I've missed something, or if anyone has gethered info and is looking for interested drivers. Also, anyone in the area towing out and has room for a second car.
Thanks,
Don
catdon3@verizon.net
Don,
I know that Mike Agnifilio was trying to put together a group transport for the Northeast, you might try getting in touch with him. There was a lot of interest so finding enough cars should not be a problem.
If you are looking for a rig to rent to haul quite a few cars, get in touch with Bruce Miller (BRM Motorsports) on Long Island, he has a a semi and trailer that can fit at least 5 cars, probably more. If its available in July Bruce could haul the cars out there and back. No idea what the price would be.
Also, at the Lime Rock NARRCs, Todd McAfee said he might try to put together a group transport from up in the Boston area.
Take care.
Tom
