    Default Exact CP Piston Language?

Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing is going to modify our rules to conform to the recent SCCA change which approved use of the new forged CP/Ivey piston. Can anyone provide me with the verbatim language which SCCA used to effect that change? We're also curious about how the language or rules reconciled the use of the CP FF 1600+.005 piston (we we understand is also now legal) and yet not compromise the previous hard displacement number in the rules.

Any help with exact verbiage greatly appreciated.

    Robert,

The exact language can be found on page GCR-194 of the 2007 Formula Category Rules, which can be downloaded here: 2007 Formula Category Rules

BTW, SCCA does not have a maximum displacement rule for Formula Ford. Only a minimum combustion chamber size and a maximum piston diameter. But don't feel badly...this is a misconception common to long-time SCCA FF racers, as well.

Perfect. Many thanks. You saved me hours of work. Is this Board great or what?
