    Default Brake pad question

Asking for advice on brake pad replacement on my club ford RF 80 Van Diemen. The Hawk Part number HB117 is .380” thick and the Performance Friction part number; PF718 is 11 mm or .430”.
Does the .050” difference in thickness for each pad make a difference in fitting into the Lockheed caliper? Any suggestion for compound? Thinking blue for the Hawk and the 01 for the PR. The answer to the thickness will determine the brand selectionThanks in advance for your help.

    Default Brake pads

The KFP brake pads for that application(KFP-64), are .400" thick and I would recommend the blue (P4211) compound.

    Default Hawk Black

I sell a lot of HB-117 black and none of the blue Hawk compound. I quit carrying PFC due to cost and low demand.

    Cory,
What part of NJ is Erial? I have an RF78 and live in South Jersey(Pedricktown), near the Barry Bridge.

Default musicians quote: i've got one more set of the blues

eye ran the black for years in my 32F. Because eye needed to replace the pads and had a full set of blue in the parts bin, this past Feb. at Sebring on the short course, eye ran the blue....couldn't tell any difference.....but then like eye always say > like eye know anything....but i did better my best time on blacks by seven tenths.....maybe it was the brakes but no way to prove it....might have been the tires but both sets were good [prior best and newest best] I've got one more set of the blues and will use them too when it's time.
