Call MO MA @ 505-766-6661 in Albuquerque. They rebuild the Smith gauges for the vintage cars I work on.

    Default guages

You might ask about having the guages customized. A friend had his where the split guage was Oil Prss and Oil temp. Then had a separate guage for Water temp. It seems like the better setup.

    Ed,

I have a Smiths dual gauge, mechanical oil pressure and water temp. Worked when I took it off the car, been sitting on a shelf for 6 years or so. Make me an offer (12 pack of micro brew?) and pay the shipping.

    Default Gauges

Smiths instruments are still available new.
Here it is as expensive to service a gauge as it is to buy a new, it might not be worth it to repair them.

    Default New "Smiths" are available

AS memory serves, brand new Smiths gauges are available - I think they are rebadged Racetech.

    Default Whatever you buy...

New, used, reconditioned. Test the gauges before installation with a known temperature/pressure source. I have bought new Smiths gauges, installed them and discovered the temperature read 10 deg. C low and the oil pressure read 15 PSIG Low!

I have had better luck with reconditioned gauges from Palo Alto Speedometer. The pressure gauge was within 1 PSIG, and the temp gauge was within 3 deg. C.
