Okay, you all have done great so far. I am looking for the pins to hold the main body down. I have the rear end squared away. 1/4" short pins are what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

Not certain what you mean by "pins" but is this what you are talking about:

Mike,
They are made out of steel on Jim's 342 car. It appears to be a piece of steel stock, about 1/2 OD, 3/4 to 1 inch tall with a threaded section turned down and threaded to accept a 1/4 fine nut.
Anyone with a lathe and time can make them for you to size, or you may check with some of the parts suppilers (Avrril, IRP, Primus, Continental, and so on) to see if they have anything on the shelf that might work. My guess is that you can find an off the shelf piece to fit the bill.

Sounds like either a barrel nut or a shoulder bolt. MSC without doubt.

Mike call me I have some at my shop.
Thank you all. Bob, I'll give you a call tomorrow. Progress is slow but coming. It might just be a car soon. Thanks also Bryan. I'm still herding cats.
