rFactor online fun runs weekly starting tomorrow!

Maybe we could skip the "warm ups" and long qually sessions so we can get more racing in.
May be use the 10 laps of qualifying as the a warmup/qual session, limit it to 10 laps, then get to racing! Use the the finishing order to grid the next race (like we did with heat, and assuming we are staying at same track).
I wanted to run more last night, but after 90 minutes my eyes were burning...

That kind of feedback is more than welcome! We'll do that for next week... No warmup and a shorter qualifying session for Road America. Any other suggestions? Would anyone like the "Stability Control" drivers aid turned on to help prevent spins? Please let me know what you guys would like to see and we can look into it.

Hi all, been looking for something to replace gpl and sounds like you are going Rfactor, If I go this way would love to run in your leage. Sounds like you are racing the f3's? Sry, noob question here, are the f3's close to the fords you guys race in life? Hate to ask the question but was netKar PRO considered? Looks like they have cars close in spec to fords? I also have a freind who works on red cars that I might be able to get into rfactor, espicially with Road America available. We like open wheel.

No problem with the questions. Yep, we're running the F3s since they're the car that is the closest fit what we run in real life. Netkar was looked at briefly, but never really considered since there are far many real tracks out there for rFactor. rFactor also has a huge modding following already, so that's where we are at now. You're more than welcome to run with us!!! We're still at least a few weeks away of starting any kind of league, but the fun runs we have on Tuesdays will go on weekly until then.

I have never seen Summit on any sim, but if you like, I will send you a DVD of my in-car from the MARRS race a few weeks ago. I will send it with your muffler (which I will be taking off the car probably tomorrow.. I never bothered to unload the trailer after I started to head up to Lime Rock a couple weeks ago)..

The only available aids we run with are auto clutch, auto reverse and invulnerability. We run invulnerability due to the fact that since we're currently running "fun runs" and it's more fun racing than sitting stuck in a wall somewhere. I've gotten rFactor installed and have started practicing, but I don't seem to know how to chat. I can't get any text to appear in the chat window. Please help. Otherwise I'll never be able to afford an F3.

Bob, open up RF's main folder, now look for USERDATA folder, in here should be a folder created for your ingame name. Open this and look for the OWCHALLENGE06.cch. Open this file using notepad. Right at the top of this file is two lines:

Experience=999999999
Money=164407364

As you can see I've edited these to read outrageous ammounts. Doing this will give you plenty of experience and money to buy an RF3.

We only run organized runs on Tuesdays, but if you post on here when you're available with enough warning, I'm sure you could find others to join you on the server.

Change of plans... We have an updated version of Spa that is pretty good (Blame Goresh if it isn't ).

We have a different version of Spa which we will be running tomorrow night. It is on the FTP server right now so go and get it if you plan to race with us tomorrow. Dave: After we run tomorrow, you can give me your thoughts on which track is better as I haven't run either yet. I don't know Spa at all and we're going back to the hospital right now so I'm going to be a backmarker tomorrow most likely. The filename on the FTP server is SpaGTL.zip. Load it up!!!

So let me ask you guys this: Any ideas on how to get a better turnout? I thought maybe running a track from across the pond would stir up some interest, but it apparently didn't. Let me know what you guys want to see.

I'm thinking of running the Daytona Roadcourse. It's on the FTP server if you want to grab it.

Shop: If you decide to run tonight, I put the correct OWC2006 file on the root of the FTP server for you to copy down and replace yours to get rid of the errors you've been getting.
