    Default Vintage fuel Cell

Disclaimer **** For those that believe fuel cells should be new and perfect, stop reading and move on.

I have a very old fuel cell .... probably 8 gallons or so .... likely from a air-cooled Supervee.
It has been wrapped in a garbage bag and sitting in my shop for 20 years or so. I acquired it from a friend who thought it leaked but was not sure.

I have known people who repaired other cells with products like PRC PR-1422 and PR-1440. I have never had a car to put this in so have never tried to repair it. I understand there are aviation facilities that rebuild fuel cells.

I understand that there are some USA fuel cell supplier problems right now. Perhaps this cell can help some one out of a jam or help restore a fine old car. Expect to rebuild/repair this item. Absolutely no guarantees.

Footprint is 15(1/2)" wide by 18 (1/2)". Height is 12 1/2" tall. Step is 5" and angle is 42 degrees. Manufactured by Marston to FIA FT3 specs in 73. Part # RT 147 Issue B

Maybe somebody can identify the original car it is from. 8 gallons seems like a good size for medium sized Formula cars.

$400 OBO. Open to trades. I require 11.5" or shorter adjustable shocks. Fox or similiar. Also 5 gallon fuel cell and steering rack. greg13rice@hotmail.com

    I'd guess a 1973 Formula Ford.

I had a 1970 Royale RP3A with a cell that looked pretty identical to your. I can't remember where the fuel line came out, but I think it was on the back side on the bottom.
