    Default Looking for old Tires

I realized that as assemble my pile of Crossle 16f parts into a car, I have no way to roll it around once the suspension is on - it came with wheels, but no tires!
Does anyone have a set of worn-out, used-up FF tires suitable for keeping my rims off the garage floor?
    Thanks.

    Default Transport Tires

    Peter,

You want a set of used street, not race tires. Race tires leak too rapidly. Alternatively, buy 4 used rear motorcycle wheels and tires that you can drill to a 3.75" bolt circle. These can also help with added ride height to aid loading and traversing uneven terrain. (These cars are low!)

    Default Rolling car around????

I found an old secret somewhere in the back of my brain. We use to put tubes in the rain tires "back in the day" as we never went fast enough to worry about generating enough traction to spin the tires hard enough to "pop" the valve stem. I lways stored the car on my rains w/ tubes and never had to constantly refill the slicks. FWIW.......

    Default Tubes for rolling around

You know, I was thinking that I had some old 13" tubes stashed somewhere, and wondering how that would work out. Thanks!

I've got to file away "tubed rains for storage" for future use... goooooooooo advice!
