very interesting........
Were you running in BMOD because you were bumped up by the staff or because that's the actual class for an FC? I had to run an F5(FMOD) against D/E Mod several times because I was the only one in...
So, where does a Formula C fit in solo? Looking at the GCR, it would appear that CMOD is the class but that sounds too obvious.
You've GOT to LOVE it...
Back to the autocross thing..lol...if I run in A-Mod...do I get wings?...lol...
I love wings....
Jay, this conversion does interest me greatly...looks like I'll be in touch.
Okay, after reading this entire thread...don't shoot me now...where does that leave us in autocross? If I convert my 1986 Dolphin to bike power, do I stay in f-Mod? Somewhere I heard that I'd have to...
I agree with reading the book first, I was just reacting to a suggtestion that came my way and I got interested in the concept until someone over on the eformulacar site stated that mc engined cars...
I'm just kinda looking around in this, and I haven't read the solo rules for anything but F5 yet...but I've seen pics of A-mod cars with engines bigger than my car and wings the size of a sliding...
It was brought up to me at a recent autocross that some 500 guys are putting 650 cc bike engines in the cars for autocross, but the guy wasn't sure where that came from. Anybody know if it's true and...
I was recently looking for an oil control cable and was on my last hopes of finding one locally when I stopped in at a jet ski shop. The mechanic there happened to be a certified ROTAX tech who...
Rimshot delivered! I don't weld, but I do have a guy ( everybody has a guy, right?) who does it day in an dday out and would make very short work of it. I haven't measured them yet...
Well-spoken, and I've considered that very thing: widening the long tubes. The only place they're really tight is at my shoulders and once I'm in the car, it's not bad at all. I did have to form a...
Really good point there on the tubing diameter...thanks! I'll measure it this weekend. Here's the funny part...the car is very tight on me now-the forward-facing diagonals are very close to my head...
Like I said, it's a Dolphin, not a KBS. As I understand it, Jim Elder designed, built, and marketed teh Dolphin fo ra number of years then sold the line off to someone else. I don't know if any were...
I have a 1986 Dolphin F500 that I rebuilt and run as an FMod car in autocross now. The car was originally run in road racing and nothing has been changed. I plan to hit the Roebling 4-day school next...
