Does the coolant system have a functioning thermostat? If so, that is what is controlling the water temps to 175F.
Not mine, but saw this Merloy for sale on SportsRacer Technology site:

Do you still have the old pressure gage? If so, install it and see if the oil pressure is stable.
I’m not familiar with the Twin Cam. What drives the oil pump? Could the drive system be slipping or skipping teeth?
Could your pressure gage be going bad? Is it a mechanical or electric...
After cleaning the male and female threads with mass air flow sensor cleaner, I apply blue loctite and torque to the Suzuki spec (85 ft-lbs?), with the chain installed. Then I use a paint pen to mark...
I recall going through a similar investigation for a centerlock wheel nut on a buddy's Formula Continental. We exhausted all the easy inspection / low cost items as mentioned in the previous...
I may be mistaken, but I believe the two slower FA's were battling for third position, and thus their disinterest in what was immediately behind them!
Here's the exact quote from the link above, which I interpreted as a violation of something found during post race tech inspection:
"However, Rice received a three-spot penalty for a tech...
I don’t know any of the details or heard any rumors. Here is the source of my comment:

Rod Rice receives a three-spot penalty for a tech violation. Gary Hickman is announced as the winner.
Congrats Gary!
Your description sure sounds like a warn out clutch. As previously mentioned, the stock components will suffice, and should be soaked in oil overnight. Wouldn't hurt to make sure nothing is binding...
I use Mobil 1 10W-40 4T Motorcycle Racing Oil.
George Dean told me to change the oil filter every weekend, and the oil every other weekend. He recommended the Redline 40 weight "full race" oil.

Eric, your previous comments below would seem to be consistent with jhc's experience in which the Flatshifter control box is overheating and causing an unwanted ignition coil cut.
"My car has...
Per a recent conversation with George regarding the 07/08 GSXR-1000:

Interesting approach. I think most folks instinctively put a vertical plate at this location.
It could be calculated with a little effort and knowledge of the material properties, but I wonder how the addition of the aluminum spacers I often see on CV's would affect the joint integrity?
If we promise to sit in the back and remain quiet, will you allow West WR-1000 owners to join the party?
:D
I have seen some sexy 'sandwich plates' that install under the oil filter that will allow you to divert the feed pump flow to an oil cooler, then back to the filter:

In order to allow the entrapped air to rise to the top, you will need the oil velocity in the tank to be slow, and the residence time in the tank high. I have a suspicion that the tank you described...
Lemme guess: you used a Locke washer. ;)
FWIW: When reinstalling the seize-prone oddly-designed spark plugs in my 2008 Expedition, the internets highly recommended use of nickel anti-seize, which is rated to 2400F. Per the Permatex...
Note: exhaust gas temps will increase when the ignition timing is retarded. Don't sit on the rev limiter too long or you could burn a valve.

It sounds like the system isn't bleeding sufficiently when filled.
The key to a proper 'first fill' procedure is for air to escape out of the system (at the high points) as it is being filled...

Jack, what's the basics for the enduro series? Sedans only, I assume?
The 2015 MCSCC schedule is now posted on their website.
That was intense. With such close competition, I'm curious as to the qualifying strategy. Do you try to get in with a pack so as to have drafting advantages, or do you try to get some "alone time"...
What make car is Loshak running?
With a state-of-the-art motorcycle engine like this, what are the major integration hurdles relative to the ECU and achieving full performance (and avoiding a limp-home mode)?
Although I don't have direct experience, I understand there is now an FAA-certified cleaning procedure for oil coolers that have been exposed to an engine failure.
