Sean,
It's so great to hear from you. We've all been worried, although your Dad has kept us informed. We all wish you the best and look forward to seeing you back on track. I know it's tough but...
Lee,
So SCCA would allow you to run with the restrictor in FM. Was it competitive?
Thanks for the info. Interesting.
I understand that there was a FM prototype based on a standard FM that Star Race Cars used as a test bed for the 240 HP Renesis engine. Does anyone know what happened to it? I'd like to know more...
I had this same problem after breaking a Minilite last year. This backspace is VERY rare and the guys with them don't want to let them go. I ended up with a new set of three piece modular Panasports....
After seeing what a friend of mine got for track time at a SCCA regional, this spring, I completely understand the bargain that FRCCA and the BSFCS are. I'm tied up with hillclimbs for another month...
Doug,
Thanks for this. As a autocrosser, hillclimber, and occasional road racer and vintage racer, it's going to be great to have this forum. As someone who has tried all forms, autocrossing is...
Tim,
I've owned and raced ol' #47 for over 24 years now. Here you go. Take a ride in it. http://www.youtube.com/my_videos

No I've already got one, #47, but I have seen the one for sale and I could use the spares. I have thought about it.
That's correct. I recieved both yesterday and mistyped. I've corrected the post. Sorry.
Thanks David, I'll e-mail you.

There's a great tech article in the current (January 2009) issue of Classic Motorsports called "Scientific Method" by Per Schroeder. The subject of the article is one of the quickest vintage Formula...
Anyone have a contact for any of the original Autodynamics crew from Marblehead Mass.? I have a question about the Caldwell D9 FF1600.
I've got a old 1970 Caldwell D9 FF1600. I installed a aluminum V shaped deverter just behind the rad to direct the hot air flow out the openings on each side of the body, just behind the front...
There are vintage classes in SCCA hillclimbing now. I run in VO or vintage openwheel. The biggest difference is that tires are free. I use Hoosier R25Bs. I wish more drivers would try it. The sport...
A 1970 Caldwell D9 took the OA win at the Wolf Ridge Hillclimb in western NC last weekend. With the winged hillclimb special of BBR racing up in Pennsylvania, it left the door cracked for a old...
If your in the area, you might want to check out Bill Scott's Formula Car Series this summer at Summit Point, WV. I dropped by to check it out and I'm really impressed by their enthusiasum. As many...
Take a ride up the Eagles Nest Hillclimb course in a vintage Caldwell D9: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMDSQIs-mY8
I got that lap at 1:08.8. Very impressive. Thanks for sharing.
