+1. Had several of the cheap variants and got a 20 x 10 EZ Up a few years ago, worth every penny. Customer service is amazing with them as well.

I am sure with money, you could get around that.
At least.
You Dustin's dad?
Not certain it is the SCCA. Since this is an FIA thing, they may have some guidelines to follow which the SCCA had to adhere to. Or maybe SCCA has to pay the FIA some portion of those fees? Who...
I am not arguing what a team needs as far as infrastructure to run an operation with multiple cars. I am saying that people do not need that to be successful, or a full on prep shop to run them. ...
Problem is, in my opinion, kids these days think you need all that to be competitive. That wasn't the case back in the prime days of FF/FC, and I believe that is one part of the participation...
Interesting article:
http://www.motorsport.com/formula4/news/scca-to-sanction-formula-4-championship/
"Clarke said that FIA F4 races will be run on the same weekend as Pirelli World Challenge...
That is hysterical. Well, if SCCA wants any chance at this working with F4, they will need to do a lot better than that in my opinion.
True on the other stuff, Dan is good at what he does. ...
Well, I meant the 115K/season number in comparison to what other series' costs are, not necessarily the per weekend cost. I for one am not calling that inexpensive at all, I am saying some might...
Do you really believe people in F1600 and F2000 aren't already paying this, or more?
I am willing to wager many people would look at 115K as a good deal. Hell of a lot cheaper than...
The bigger takeaway I got from looking at that series was what you pointed out before, the entry numbers. If they cannot generate big car fields in Australia, how is the US? Only series I really...
And where are they racing it? Not with FRP I assume being based in Sonoma... So SCCA Pro? Even though we have no clue what car SCCA Pro will use? Hmmmm.
Steve, I think you are quick to assume that many people will be so quick to dump their current car and buy a new one to start all over again. Speaking of individuals here, not teams. When I saw...
I asked this question before. If the target demographic is kids, this karting group is onto something. They obviously would have a HUGE advantage here.
Yup.
http://www.racer.com/scca-home/item/120168-f4-scca-pro-developing-plans-for-american-fia-formula-4-series
So now what?
Yeah and Indy Car will still have that, and I am sure the FIA will like it as well!
I also know that many of these kids in F1600 go on to USF but they skip F2000CS. Why? Likely for the reasons...
If that is the case, why haven't those kids been running with FRP all along?
You aren't telling me anything I (or anyone else who has been around a while) didn't know. But Dan having a competing series, with essentially the same car, presents a problem.
http://www.indycar.com/News/2015/08/8-10-New-chassis-plans-set-for-USF2000-and-Pro-Mazda
Convenient timing. Now what? Do these rich kids from all over the world go play with Indy Car or FRP? ...
Whole lotta kool-aid people are drinking up in here. I really hope those people are correct, otherwise we are looking at an advancement in the decline and destroying the value of equipment already...
I am glad someone else said it.....
For reference purposes, in an FC, Atlanta and Summit Point gearing are very similar.
I will strongly second the recommendation for ATC if you go with enclosed. I ordered mine this past year and took delivery in September, couldn't be happier. Had a 20' prior and went up to a 24',...
SCCA really needs to get these classes cleaned up, no more. You want to add a class? You have to remove one then in my opinion, it is out of control....
Dealt with Greg quite a bit, never had a problem and he has always gone above and beyond for me. He has made some great parts for the VD and I know others who have also taken advantage of these...
You can see the debris on the track the couple of laps after the start there. It wasn't terrible, seen worse.
Here is the start, cannot really see the hit that well but you can see the check up of those two behind Jason. Set to HD!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzMZo6mfptI&feature=youtu.be
Ahh, gotcha.
The guy behind him, in an FE, had nowhere to go. I barely missed the three of them checking up, as did several of us around them.
And standing starts wouldn't solve anything. So Jason breaks...

They have many different sizes. Find one in your area and they can help you out.

My name is Nick Palacio and I approve of this message.
See what I did there?
Agree with above. With that said, I think you will find that an F1000 or pretty much any open wheel car does not make much sense as a track day toy. Many groups will not allow open wheel cars and...

Another big thanks to Joe! Got my new Arai SAH2010 helmet from him over the holidays and just finished my bead seat over the weekend that I got from him along with the use of his rental pump and hot...
I just had one put in my zetec car (thanks Eric Langbein). What type of car are you putting it in? There was plenty of room in my side pod it seemed.

Touche. Guess I need to change my handle name for the future! :D
Haha, I hope she doesn't either! Checking up on me...
Big thanks to Greg for the beautiful diamond bracelet I plan to give my wife on Christmas day, she is going to cry when she sees it. Greg and I exchanged emails on what I had in mind and he came...
Great kid and a great family! Best of luck to Alex and the team next season!
Any chance you can post the results from the entire group?
