I asked this question of my cell manufacturer a few years ago. His response:

Good Morning Eric,
You can leave the fuel cell dry....
Good to hear. The other run groups with open and closed wheel cars didn’t sound so good. Beautiful weekend for weather!
How’d it go?
Very very cool car!
Good to have a little clarity. I hope it goes well. Please give a report after!
Just be careful. I used to love that event. I’m done with SVRA at this point. That could change but I doubt it in the near future.
I can’t speak to classing, costs, business, etc but I LOVE the clean simple lines of that type of sports racer. I want one. I don’t have a use or place for one but I want one.
When my 6 year...
How does the shift mechanism work??? That is kinda bad when it is the way it was originally designed let alone how this may have to have been engineered.
PutInBay road race reunion is coming...
If you want the most options in vintage, I’d say FF. You can run nearly all vintage groups, FRP, even random quirky events like Put-In-Bay, and still SCCA for the most part. FV fits too…
SVRA is no longer even close to what it was 15 years ago. All the F4 and TransAm they are doing uses up nearly all the air.
I’ve dealt with various switches in production cars over the years. I don’t remember what I landed on last but get quality and/or get an extra for backup. It really sucks having to scramble to...
Having not run but watched a big FRP event (MidOhio this year) I think you will find FRP to be at least no more risky than most vintage groups and maybe better. I too was intimidated by the “Pro”...
I used ANZE (see earlier posts) about a year ago. I’m very happy with the results and Angelo was knowledgeable, informative, and understanding with me (a relative newby to the guts of modern...
Can I just HEAR it???
Saw this while visiting the Bellefontaine hill climb yesterday. Very nice car. Maybe an Apexer?
You forgot the “*”
*with enough $$$$$
Wait... what???
New build. Not a repair.
I don’t know if that would be a pre-made deal but if you need custom, I couldn’t be happier with the service from Eagle.

This is how mine came on the car. You can see it in pic. It is actually more protected by the nose than it looks. That said, I still may move inside. But it appears to have worked for dozens of races.
Wow, I was humming right along until I saw the pics of foot location.
I believe that PDF was a PowerPoint from a presentation (a very good one I hear) and not intended to be a stand alone document.
I ran SVRA at MidOhio last year with a very tired Pinto FC in the Wings and Slicks run group. It included Mansell's 1989 Ferrari F1 car, a 2000s Dallara F1 or F2 car, a Chevy Spice GTP car, and a...
Now you can bring your Porsche 962! Super...
+This (“OH, you drive an OPEN WHEEL car now...(as though I volunteered for a suicide mission)”
That is gorgeous and badass all at once!
Very cool! Congrats!
I don't know vees but I'd suggest you spend as much of your budget as possible, stretching it, on as "done" a car as possible. And look CRITICALLY when buying. Find a critical, grumpy, negative...
Wow,

I can’t say enough about how helpful Doug was to me as I tried to figure out some issues as I redo my Pinto TDC oiling system. Doug...
Although it doesn’t make much sense in an air cooled car, I dig the open front early Formula car look.
What can the gearbox handle? That seems like it might be the bigger ? than class in what you decide.
I've had similar experiences with Richard. And interesting conversations as well.
A++
First off, that is a really cool car. Classic FF.
Next, is there anything for support directly behind the middle/base of your head? It LOOKS like your head “rest” is high and in a rearward...
