The in-line adapter has a port for the temp sensor if you want to use that. Otherwise, you could have a threaded bung welded into the radiator.

I wholeheartedly agree. Summit, for being a large-ish company, is uncommonly great to work with. And if you’re ever driving by either their OH or GA locations it’s absolutely worth stopping in...

Be careful adding a radiator fan. It is only convenient for idling in the paddock or if stuck on grid for a loooong time. At speed a radiator fan is restricting airflow and hurts overall cooling...
Also keep in mind that you can always warm up in the paddock longer. PFM has no problem building heat while idling stationary. I actually used fans in the garage at home to prevent overheating when...
correct. Add thermostat at least 160F rated. That’s colder than target but the PFM cooling system is marginal in warm weather and you can get into a bit of a thermal runaway situation if the...
tstat is not a sensor and can fail. It’s not uncommon that people pull them out. The OP is not having any issues cooling so the lack of restriction leading to too much flow and not enough heat...
Check the PFM manuals. I don’t recall if that cooling system was designed for use with a t-stat or not.
starracecars.com lists a t-stat housing SKU: 100-524 so my assumption is you can and should...
You need to manage airflow to reach target operating temperatures. Operating temps are affected by ambient, wind, inlet size, and your driving. If you are not pushing the car to the limit then you...

16x8.5 is minimum. Fits most sports cars as well. My first trailer was 16x8.5 slant v-nose and 6’ interior height. I’m 5-10 so it was my spec. None of my tall friends appreciated it though. ...
Buy the Idemitsu pre-mix that was designed for it. Case of 12 quarts is $120 so $40/gallon on Amazon or $88.88 on Mazdatrix ($30/gallon). Plus shipping.
Look for Jim and Rob Radmann. They might be able to help.
He full up relocated. I give him credit for betting on himself and his ability to work anywhere with strong work ethic. I can't wait to go visit and see the facility!
Maris made a great move. ...

3 pulses because there are three sides to the rotor. All three pulses should be minimum 85psi. Or else there is a problem that usually requires rebuild.
A warmed engine can show better compression...
Aside from the experienced notes above, keep in mind that low compression rotary engines are very hard to start. So if the apex seals are worn, it can take a lot of effort to get it started.

RM was asking $90K for it when I inquired prior to buying my Lola T91/50.
RM Motorsports had the 7-Up car in Detroit a few years ago. It was recently rebuilt when I saw it.
I think the tach sensor was erronous in one video.. the rest are 7K-ish redline. in the 11K-12K video it stays pegged there even when shifting through gears.
Henry,
your profile says California but your message says South Carolina? Where are you located? What is your home track? What kind of car do you race?
Mike
Dean Turnbaugh is in your area. Maybe give him a call
Coleman Racing got me squared away for very reasonable prices when I was missing brake rotors for my T91/50.
they made me new hats and rotors.
This doesn’t even look safe enough to serve as a driving simulator
if your car doesn't fire right up, it's likely the apex seals are worn and you could be down on quite a bit of power.
other thought, do you know if you have the short or tall gear stack in the...
Not sure but you can also do a compression check. Watch a YouTube on how to do it on rotary compression check. I used a regular tester and recorded with iPhone and then played back the gauge view...
exactly how old is this muffler? I never saw that in 5000 miles. The interior packing would be gone long before that I'd imagine. The standard PFM mufflers are what I'd stick with - they come with...
Thanks for the POCs The pressure pump LHS is the one that leaked. The scavenge pump RHS is not leaking. Note this is a Buick Indy Lights motor.
Didn't find anything obvious in the data on the 1/2 lap where it shut down before T5. TPS seems to be functioning normally. Voltage average 12.6-12.8, never fell below 12.0VDC (onboard alternator)....
No, Lola designates the Lights chassis with /20. I don't think they made any until 1993.
HU41 moves under its own power for first time since I acquired it from Derek Harling 4 years ago! It has been 6 years since it was on track.

Setup for bias vs radial is very different. Do your homework and figure out what you want or need.
My recommendation is contact the tire distributor and see if you can buy takeoffs at the next pro event. I used to get as many as I could stuff into my Tahoe for $100/set off PFM or P2 cars running...
I think AvGas LL could still coat and cause some issues for the wide band O2 sensors in PFM but the car does not run in closed loop so you could remove the sensors I guess. But then you wouldn’t...
Car is setup to run on 98 unleaded Sunoco GTX 260. Whatever you do make sure you use unleaded. You don’t need 110 and some people run on 93 ethanol free pump gas even.
Ian,
I am actually planning to run it for the first time at Road America end of August! Hope you're around and can link up.

Why not just send pics or graphics to a vinyl print service?
Thanks Derek, good to hear from you, hope you're doing well!
thanks for the input guys. I will drain and see how much comes out. If by chance the required qty drains out and looks good, then I won't bother opening up the rear cover for now.

Figured I’d ask for help before I just start removing bolts/caps.
Nothing in my collection of info on my Lola T91/50 delineates how to check, fill or drain the gearbox oil. I only have notes for...
