We ended up buying a Mysterian out of Prescott AZ with Ray's name on the side. Does anyone have any contact info for Ray or history on the car. Would sure like to locate the logbook. TIA Dave
Curious if anyone has gotten a Lynx B down to the monoposto weight of 825 lbs? Ours with a lithium battery and light starter is 887 lbs.
If the rod length and push rod lengths are not set right the bar can go over center and bend. Cant tell from the pic if this is what happened to you.
Fred Clark as able to get one for my sons Lazer at a reasonable price.
Very cool, when men were men and curves were nervous.
Thanks for the input. I'll throw them on the ever growing scrap pile.
Anyone seen rods lightened this way? Dont know if this is ok or not. I know someone (not me) went to a lot of work.

Anyone going to Sebring that could add me onto their crew?
I was looking up Varacins position on the grid and checked out the entries. 10 FC's and 14 FF's ? Wow
BTW, good luck to Michael tomorrow and all the F Vee guys and gals.
Struggling with exhaust selection for a vintage Lynx B. Seem to lack low end torque. Have an original but beat up underneath system, a beat and bent up over the top four into one with a megaphone...
I was contacted by Pioneer high school in Ann Arbor about a Vee that was donated to them as a project. I have given them some advise about getting it ready for vintage racing. Fuel cell, fire...
I just replaced my u joints with borgeson joints from pegasus. Amazing difference. Hardly any movement to get reverse now.
Thanks guys. Sounds like a 20 ft V nose might be the best way to go.
Anyone use a 20 ft?
I'm thinking of downsizing my 25 ft trailer because we are not hauling two cars anymore. Would a 20 ft be good for a vee and a golf car?
Do you have any contact info for Mike?
Thanks
Talked to him today.
I still need an over the top exhaust for a Lynx B
Ive left messages on their voice mail but no return. Is there other contact numbers?
Thanks
Dave
Do most guys run the short or long box? I've used a short box in Nationals but not sure with my vintage Lynx.
Been too long since I did a FST carb. Any recommendation on initial jetting?
We are converting an engine to vintage. What is the way to go? 12 v, 6v with 12v battery?
I've got a few covers I would like to get rid of. Just not sure of shipping to CA.
Ron Chuck Engineering is in Cali.
p.s. Don't go to a dune buggy VW performance shop. They don't know Vee heads.
Thanks Tom
Steve Davis for Vee Czar.
I wish we had a benevolent dictator to mandate what's best for the class. Committees take forever. Not to diss anyone on the committee I appreciate what you are doing, it's just the nature of the...
We have a Lynx B with the zero roll conversion. Going to convert it back to a Z bar. Unfortunately the top part of the frame has been cut off. If someone has a lynx B, can they measure the height...
I have a P2 for sale on the site. Take a look.

What a coincidence

I have no connection to this ad. BTW
Would love that location but April = snow & rain.
Any Vees at the practice sessions? Any feed back on track, shift points etc.?
Who gets 12 heat cycles out of a set of Hoosiers? Four heat cycles on brand new Hoosiers at Mid Ohio were shot when I ran them at Gingerman. Hoosiers answer was "mid Ohio is hard on tires"
The only other choices given were to parade around under double yellow for half race distance or race under green with a yellow from turn 2 to 6? Most opted to just go home. At least I got to try...
I know it's late but I will have a Protoform P2 available I could bring to the runoffs if anyone needs a rental. PM me if interested.
Mark,
Actually, the oiling by the previous race did not effect our race other then a delay while they cleaned the track. During our pace lap one Vee lost an oil line and another had some other...
I just scored 50 Made in Japan BP7HS plugs. I guess the price wasn't that great but will sell what I don't need.. How about $2.50 each or $12.50 for 4 shipped?
If Bill in MN can't help you, I have a few available.
Four Vees at the Sprints. What happened? All wiped out at Indy?
Just theorizing, but at 1.5 gs that's like tipping the engine at around a 60 degree angle. I could still see the pickup being uncovered even with a 1.5 l sump?
Steve,
Are you saying the name brand builders don't have bearing failures?
My personal experience would repudiate this.
Probably another can of worms but who's running the 1.5 L sump and has it helped with bearing failures? Seems like it would be an advantage on tracks with high speed ovals.
Seems like talking about engine oil is akin to talking about politics. For me I'm sticking with the Redline, you might save a few $$ with Mobil 1 but why take a chance.
I believe the Mobil 1 does not have enough ZDDP additive for our flat tappet engines. We used it exclusively for our engines for years but had two camshaft failures a couple of years ago. Now using...

Are the runoffs races available on line somewhere? I couldn't see what was happening at the front. LOL
Mark,
See you guys at MO. Sorry I missed grattan, looks like it would have been fun.
