I believe Alex Mayer and another one.
I did find some cones and wings that I bought years ago. Still digging on the idler gear. I'm sure I'll find one.
Thanks for the wishes.
I have a short...
Hello, I think I'm in the right place ))) even though my car thinks he's a much bigger boy now. I am not sure what the car will do at the Runoffs, my wife has seen my struggle converting to BMW...
BMWs1000rr VD on the dyno, ProShift system working really well. BMW ecu is happy. Glad I'm recording stuff, that header is glowing like mad. Enjoy

I can do that, it may take a week or so, I want to test the ignition cut on the paddle system with this car in the dyno. No sense in trying to sell something that can't shift unless you go...
Would be glad to support at any capacity. This one with all of the factory switches, harness, instrument cluster, key and other sensors and BMW Race ECU just took me too damn long to figure it out,...
Here is the pull to the rev limiter, no issues so far, not posting up numbers cause it's too early to tell, though a formidable gain over the previous K6 engine, leave to your imagination. I hope...
Hi all, just a short video of the BMW engine on the dyno yesterday. It was the first, full throttle pull, it was nerve wrecking to say the least. only got to 12.8 rpm on the video, today i went...
Hi Jay that's totally understandable, he had to find a way to make it run.
I was so happy to see this thread a few weeks ago and didn't want to attract much attention. So about 30 minutes ago I...
If the engines are going to last longer with restrictors like in P2, then why not allow a stand alone ecu that will enable tuning the engine to work in a car much like P2.
My BMW program is coming...
............. and, psycho 250cc superkarts........
Hey Jason, that is really great thank you. btw I'm almost done with the bmw conversion, its taking looong time, finally found support/consulting from moto racer, if you still have that bmw engine,...
Thanks Jay, I remember you and Brian did a stint in FE and sure it helped moving on to the next thing.... I almost jumped into FE after years of FM but decided to not chase Rettich after he schooled...

A lot of the west coast guys use George Dean and Rilltech. Back home Midwest, Greg Moon supercycles does very good work and goes to a lot of the races, he is very good to work with, great...
In the rain?? really hoping that is not the case, although a JDR or Novak conversion have proved to be rockets in a straight line, so anything is possible.
Yea man, whats under the towel. haha you could've crop it haha now it looks plain suspicious
Man this is quite a relief. Merry Christmas
On my Dynojet a K5/K6 on a novadiemen fb makes 152-154, this is with headers and GDRE flash, a stock prosport with K8 on the same chassis dyno makes 166-168. I was able to race with the k5 engine...
I used to stuff this puppy inside a 16ft vnose cargo pro cargo pro, the battery tray/crash structure:p would be removed. The nose could either sit in the cockpit with the wings attached or nose...
It cant possibly be cheap to develop a highly competitive restrictor engine package, a lot of black magic there I think. A lot of us will struggle until engine builders develop maps, headers, air...
JP can convert a Citation from FC to FB while taking a nap, :D
In the future I see some fast FC's giving midpack and backmarker fb's hell, with all this restrictor talk heheh. Just Kidding
I'm one of the guys that cracked and wrote a letter, on a cold early-November morning. Jay is always saying to "write your letter guys", etc.... I figure why not, nothing to lose, could at least...
Manufacturer specs say bmw/kawi stock power and torque figures are pretty close to each other, 193hp bmw vs 197hp kawi. why does the kawi have this advantage over the bimmer as far as restrictor...
Well done!!!!
Watch out for Hill.
I believe you Mr.Radrog, but it is humor and i'm relaxed. If you say you deserve sarcasm, laugh and roll with it. I take it back, I will help with sharing nb help and info, especially since we...
MikeB, you are right, I got sucked in by Ragdog questions. I will abstain, you can answer octane questions, pretty soon you will be talking camber, tire pressures hahaha etc. Enjoy.
Bret, Tyler sports a JDR and he is very fast too.
Tyler, i would drop -1 tooth front sprocket from the grattan setup, that will get you close, then fine tune with +/-1 tooth rear sprocket.
Are you coming to gingerman on sept 17, full day open...
Dave, I think those will fit my NovaD, call you after I sort out the problem with my fab man.
Brandon, yes for sure, the lengths are way off, could that be dangerous for the engine as much as it makes the design ineffective? Cylinder 1 and 4 vary almost 100%,:( That can be fixed, it wont...
I'm curious to what comments on this exhaust I had custom made for my bike engine, the work order was meant to produce a 4-2-1 "slip style" ,but lost in translation and magically a 4-1 piece is...
Jay, the owner is not going to exceed 90mph, I don't think he needs to read the FB section on exhaust height, all of eight inches from the ground, what a great rule, do we go 8 or 6? lets do 6, no...
David
I really like the car and all the work you are doing. do you think those brakes will stay hot enough to work well. In a dsr, I could see venting the rotors because there is less...
Jon
Provitz told me about this plane, twice over the weekend. That is a work of art.
@ Butch, with all due respect Sir, was the incident on turn 1 not big or nasty enough for the officials up on the tower to freeze the action on the track. An FA HITS FB almost dead on and the...
hope Slahor is ok, that is scary, it is possible Jason was shaken up/hurt, couldn't get out of car and run over to the wall, maybe the crew chief told him to stay in the car. That should've been...
@ Nickster53
You should not worry about the seal unless you are being protested, you can even get your annual tech with a broken seal, as long as the seal is there and since you are being honest, I...
@ Keegan, sounds promising that your engine package has been reliable for the last two years, that is really good news, I acquired 3 BMW engines thinking they would be a little fragile... but will...
Jason, was your engine in a DSR before you, I'm noticing that it was already in a car... just curious.
Do you have the stock dash and ecu off the same bike, you will also need the handle controls...
Marshall thanks for sticking up for me, its all good morning humor. If you want to source some parts from Primus race parts, let me know I will get them for you and you can pay pal me. I don't...
I'm gonna go with yes you are right, never been to a restaurant that made cake....
Thats like "hey, make me a cake and I will pay after i eat it" "hey, build me an engine, and I will pay after I break-it in" or "hey, let me get you pregnant, then let me see if I wanna marry...
If someone was to protest an ignition curve, how could that be done, have not seen a spec for the whole ignition timing table in a factory service manual. Doubt that a tech shed inspector will know...
Race ecu should be allowed, most every manufacturer has one. I've talked to some of the engine builders that flash ecu and there is really no gain increasing/advancing top end ignition timing. ...
the factory ecu is good by itself, you might have to call & call around but it is possible, it has been done overseas.
Awesome job guys!!
Joel, welcome to FB, that is one hell of a car, best thing is that Jay is always available to go over any questions, enjoy.
@ JP, Yoda is a diamond in the rough after all? I was always...
Jason, PM sent
Once the engine runs good in the NovaDiemen, will be able to offer a solid engine option, the idea is to get the BMW program on-track before the Sprints. Will be able to supply...
I figured out how the engine is mounted using what looks like the oil pan, kinda like an old Stohr CSR of a decade ago.....
Hell yea Jason, thanks for sharing pics of your "naked" Citation, I always wonder what laid beneath, I really like the cockpit upper tubes, looks very safe. very nice car
btw. i know you were...
