At the upcoming majors at Thompson, we have three F5s entered. Dave Gray, Rich Loduca, and Russ Strate. "Q" might show up. It will be nice to see f5s race in the New England Region again. As Pit Lane...
As soon as I saw your class and number as your avatar knew who it was. I hope you get it together and go terrorize the fastest classes. FV guys will miss you. I look forward to seeing the car if we...
I am not particularly computer-ept but I seem to be able to log into the old f500.us site and gather any info I want. I simply scroll down past that top part in blue and go to individual comments,...
I suggested that and even mentioned that there were two people who said they would be glad to take over and even foot the bill which was $150/yr. but he didn't seem that interested in having anything...
I was able to contact Wayne Dixon last evening. As I suggested he is up to his ears in snowmobile business as well as driving loads for Prime throughout the New England states. He doesn't have the...
Wayne lives or lived in Poland Springs (yes THAT Poland Springs) Maine. Years ago he started running his own over the road trucks pulling loads for PRIME. You might remember he had a picture of his...
Eric did a really great job. I caught a lot of 140+ sections and a 144mph on Lap17. That is flying at 2" off the ground.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Pit Lane. Drive well, fast, and safely. Checkered Flags my specialty so prepare to get one.

Ahah! I knew you couldn't give up the racing. Looks like a conservative has gone Radical. Best of luck with your new acquisition.:checkered:
Looking forward to seeing all my V buddies in Pit Lane at New Hampshire.:greenflag:

The Vees did indeed appear and they put on great races both Saturday and Sunday. It was a pleasure to watch as they are a great group. I wish more open wheel cars had attended for the other classes....
Just as an aside to Tom Grossman and Clint McMahan this from Wikipedia:
The House of Stuart, originally Stewart and, in Gaelic, StiĆ¹bhart, was a European royal house that originated in Scotland....
Congratulations to a great driver! I couldn't get the live transmission of the event but I was watching the SCCA lap chart and saw what you were doing.Regardless of the two antagonists on the F500.US...
You may also have noted that Dix agreed with you on that point and indeed used your figure in his calculations. I noted that the comparisons mentioned aero efficiency at various speeds. I never was...
Looking forward to seeing you all in Pit Lane. Hope you all have a successful season.:greenflag:

George. F6 is a legitimate Regional class. If and when F5 finally dies both F5 and F6 will be regional classes only. Interesting I read an article in a snowmobile publication that said the interest...
See you all in Pit Lane. I always watch over "my boys".:checkered:

What about using round bar bell weights (gym) available at Walmarts etc.? I needed some and bolted them to the floor. If I needed less weight I just took one or two out.:D
In looking at the entry list for the NARRC runoffs this coming weekend I see NO FV entry.
I have been racing at or attending this race since 1983 and I never remember a race with no FV entries....
For racecar: Lift bad Downforce good....for aircraft: Lift good Downforce not so good.
I wondered how you guys liked the inclusion of the 6 different classes (FC CFC FF FE P2) with the FV group. Not one of my F5s showed up to annoy you. I was patrolling pit lane and handing out the...
Well said
I am under the impression that Mike Brent will be entering. What about Clint Mc Mahan? It can't be much further for "Q" and Brent to go to CA than it is for the Georgia gang. What about those F6 boys?
Jim
I think you meant to say R35 instead of R33. At least that was what I raced on in 2012.:D
How many racers from the West Coast normally entered the last few Runoffs in the mid-west or when they were held at Road Atlanta? That will probably be the number entered from the East Coast and...
You may want to go for the split start route as you may wind up with 3 F5s. Ryan Soucy who attended the "soft opening" in my old Red Devil plans to enter and there may be an entry from Ed Forer and...
Another site you should definitely look at is www.f500.US which has a lot of good info about clutching among other subjects. Clutching is vital to good performance on these cars.
How did you gain access to our F500/600 skunk works? That kart combo is the next step for our cars now that F5/6 are combined so that we have something new to argue about.:D
As a former F500 competitor up until the end of 2012 I wish to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Jeff Bower FV#58 who died during the Friday afternoon Qualifying session at Big Bend....
Steve -welcome. I ran against Sean's car at NH and it was a flyer. are you the one who has that beautiful FM for sale?
I was a Steward at the NHMS meet. On Saturday when it was warm in the...

I will be up there Friday evening and will try to stop by. I can meet with both of you newbies and lend some suggestions. If I'm not mistaken Wayne will be there also and he can be a real help...
That looks very much like my 99 Red Devil that I had back in 2005

I have deleted my avatar picture so the photos of the Black 65 are now yours. I will stick with my second love for now:thumbsup:
When do we see the printed results? I just looked at Mylaps and nothing there so I went to the NESCCA site and nothing there either.
Hi John and welcome to the group. You might want to check out F500.us website particularly the tech info section that covers clutching etc. Also you might want to check out formula500.org which...

Doug Carter has the right site www.f500.org. There is also www.f500.us if you are only interested in 2 stroke engines and want very good technical info on same. According to Rob Howden the...
Shouldn't this be in the Classified Section?

That had to hurt! I'm sorry and glad that your daughter didn't get hurt also. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Amen! Because of his argumentative nature Dixon got himself banned again but there is a lot of his useful info on the www.f500.us site under the clutching category. As for data logging I use a...
I wouldn't count on that anytime soon and as far as getting in under the radar just take a look at f500.org and f500.us to see what went into all this.

After spending all that money to covert to a MC powered car I can understand why you may be upset. However let us look at a few facts. The CRB required testing (on track) because you have a...
It appears from a technical bulletin in the May Fastrack that the 593 engine proposal has been approved in its' original form with the 25mm restrictors at a min weight of 850lbs. Thanks to the total...
If anyone is looking for Glenn Cooper this weekend he is driving one of those little cars but not the ring ding ding ones. He is in Jay Novak's new F600. I wonder how he likes it?
Per the November Fastrack the CRB is postponing making a recommendation to the BOD until more information is obtained. They are looking for on track results in head to head competition F500 vs F600.
Sure would be nice to see the videos ......
Maybe it is my computer but the video seemed jerky starting and stopping frequently and the engine noise starting and stopping caused my wife sitting in the other room to say that the engine didn't...
