Mounting tires for Nationals, apparently the R888r is a wide 205…

I haven’t heard anything from the SEB, so they certainly aren’t pushing for any outcome at this point.
I’m guessing there was a communication misunderstanding, two BOD members confirmed they are not “seriously considering the spec R60”.
1) I’ve not seen the R60 and spec mentioned together by anyone in a leadership/advisory position.
2) Whatever is decided, you have all of 2024 to use up tire inventory.
2) If a clearly slower...

To further the data, I’ll bring a set or R888’s to Lincoln. I’ll have them on centerlock Van Diemen wheels and let...
Looking at tire things I found FC also has had tire issues. FC tires are still in production, but maybe not when you need them....
Did you ever run a Street TD and a A3S03 on the same car? The bias TD had poor feel and delayed response, A3S03 was the A7 predecessor, great tire to drive on. Tamra nixed the idea of going to CM...
I see that as a good thing. Consistency, without much temperature dependency helps level the playing field and is good for use across the country spring - fall. Less spraying, less blankets, less...
It would be great, and it would only take 10-15 people/cars to buy 2-3 sets a year. At $250 a tire we weren’t at that level, at $370 a tire I see the class continuing to decline, not grow.
This is...
Ben messaged me an update, there are pictures showing some tread graining.
Hey Eric I see on Apexspeed you want an update.
Could you put Apex this:
The FC tire do fit but with some small...
Ben!!! We need an update.
We need to remember FF and FC use the same chassis. It’s easy bolt on changes to convert a FC to FF - remove aero, swap engine and wheels.
If, big IF, we wanted FC to be able to run in CM I’d be...
Probably right, 5/16” wrench for jet nut? That’s what mine has, all the load is in sheer in the larger section of bolt.
My ‘94 has original uprights, with plenty of room at the front and back to remove rotor bolts.
Bummer, must be a 99+ change.
Snug them back into place, then remove one at a time in the caliper void/space.
Order rotors now! Primus and a Pegasus had none in stock. It took weeks for me to get front rotors.
(how thin? Front ld20 rotors start out at .375”, rear ld19 at .250”)
No matter what the noise is, it’s worth removing the wheels and taking a look.
If you use Hawk Blacks I have LD19 and LD20 pads available cheap.
Better for safety, doesn’t help with filling tank.
For filling I have a calibrated dipstick (OK, it’s a 30” long zip tie) to see how much gas is in tank, then I add as many gallons as needed...
Rollover valve even better.

Yep, last week I built an aluminum tank for my Van Diemen.
At Nationals I was smelling gas in the trailer, no drips or liquid visible. After we got home the fuel level was lower than when we...
Yep, I screwed a couple old 2x4’s to trailer door as proof of concept. It worked so well I haven’t built the snazzy curved ramps.
TNiA is targeting NEW scca/track drivers. I’ve not seen anything that would indicate they are looking for any certain AGE drivers.
Mondiale/Kent had two 7” fans mounted directly to center mounted radiator. Powered with a separate battery they would arrest temperature rise but didn’t work well enough to lower water temp. Only...
Sue moved from Nebraska to Ohio, Lavenders with fuel injection and alternator.
Typo’s or real changes?
Phil, if it always the left I’d think you have a setup issue, it it’s variable, that’s normal.
Brandon, we’re the broken diffs stock Hewland parts or lightened/aluminum?
Ohh, looks like someone is getting defensive ;)
Cars with actual power can’t definitely benefit from clutch slippage but FF’s do fine with sidestepping the pedal. Not that you need advice to...
ProSolo has its own index. CM Pro index is .881 Whilst our Solo index is .890.
The index gets results close but when you have cars with 10lbs/hp mixed with cars at <4lbs/hp the course very much...
Pants, we ran a Mondiale with Mk9 for a few years, it didn’t break. If you have lightened or aluminum diff I don’t know. Current LD200 and stock Fit clutch has many hundreds of 5000rpm-limiter...
Why don’t you run Pros?
Would you if cars were index classed by power/wt rather than “Prepared & Modified”? (Think CM, FM, DP, EP and DM, EM, XP, FP)
Would you run if CM had its own...
Oh good, we agree.
Now I'm confused why you would say you added fuel for last runs to be safe when you didn't. First runs = Tuesday, last runs = Wednesday?
I wouldn't have expected someone would run underweight and then add fuel to be legal on the last run...
Sorry Ben, SMH, running underweight is okay if you don't get caught?
The old Mondiale was 5/8" shorter on one side. Quick simple measurements didn't turn up why. Car drove great so I didn't worry about it.
Based on a picture I saw somewhere I'd say John & Vicki Ryan, Pennslyvania.
[QUOTE
AMod was 4 seconds off the BMod pace. I'd be in it ifwe could have fixed the car.[/QUOTE]
??? AM wasn't slower than BM this year...
I was there watching Jon index #1 at the Pro. Like father like son, ten years ago I indexed #1 at the Finale.
And Schilling! (Maybe he'll be done with titanium body mods next year)
Your welcome to try on my Van Diemen. Bring skinny shoes, pedal box is <10" wide. Size 13 may have your toes in conflict with the sway bar end links.
No.
Formula 500 (snowmobile) and Formula 600 (sport bike) cars are in FM.
Hmm, I have one. My crank case breather goes into my >1qt dry sump tank. Does dry sump tank need catch bottle instead of breather?
The run day schedule is flipped from year to year and then some classes are swapped back to balance entry count.
Good to hear, since I have a stack of contingency Hawk Blacks. Currently using the Porterfield R4-1.
Wow. Mari and I used 1.5 for the weekend.
I used a UB1280 battery to power generic dual 7" fans. Fans were mounted directly to the radiator.
The single ducted 7" fan on my current car is more effective than the two pulling though just a...
In the Mondiale I had a separate on board battery to run the radiator fans.

Definitely good to have a full class. If we keep having healthy CM turnouts maybe Howard will give us a ProSolo class of our own!
I was surprised that almost everyone, in all classes, were slower...
We're up to 9 entrants. Mari may jump to ladies since changing seats/pedals in grid gets a little frantic.
