I thought someone by the name 'skelly' was doing that sort of thing.
I agree completely. Steve was extremely helpful to me several years ago. It's a humbling experience to be the little guy and get that level of service.
John, there is a guy in Florida who can repair magnesium, but I can't seem dredge up his name. He used to have a shop in Winter Park, built lots of chassis's for the drag race crowd. Skip Weld may be...
You will easily fit. Those cars are well suited to larger drivers.
No matter how much stuff you drag along with you, there will always be a 'something' you could have included. Lots of good suggestions above for you to consider. I'd include ratchet wrenches over...
Glad to hear Roxanne's is still around. I used their services for a customers Ralt rt 5 a number of years ago. JR was easy to work with and provided a nice stainless set of headers for a reasonable...
Harumpf!
Have you sat in the car without the Hans on to look at the gauges? For me, the Hans totally changes my ability to look "down " at the gauges.
I have one of those sitting on a shelf at my shop. Not certain of its size. I can check if you would like me to.
I'm curious, as a former 326 owner, what did you get?
Nissan xterra
How much time did your mechanic have available to change them? An experienced with your car mechanic could make surprisingly quick work of it.
I think that is high and not normal. Also depends how long at idle.
Personally, I always leave the rad cap off after refilling, then start motor and burp the system adding water as needed. Once full, I watch for the water level to just start rising as it gets hot,...
FM is one of the most if not the most accommodating formula cars for non jockey sized drivers. As previously mentioned, contact Moses even now, prior to purchase. He will probably answer questions...
Thank you very much Keith!
Working on an S2000 that has 1" rear , 7/8" front master cylinders. Calipers are ld20 rear and ld65 front. The masters are shot and must be replaced. Are the sizes correct at 1" and7/8"? I've never...
I understand castor to be basically irrelevant in the rear and that one's focus should be on proper bump steer. I have also been told that zero castor and zero bump go hand in hand.
If the 1.6 and 2.0 cars use the same starter, a mid 90's Ford Taurus v-6 starter is cheap and usually available at a local chain auto store. Has a warranty too! Just thought it might be worth you...
I've used them in F2000 cars for years with few if any issues. Cost around $30-40 bucks, can get in a variety of different limits, and if it starts to misbehave there is almost zero effort to correct...
That's the tool I was describing!
I have a small valve spring compressor that works a bit like a bearing puller does. Legs that grasp the spring and a threaded handle that allows you to compress the spring. Makes sense in my head,...
Contact Brad at Primus. He may know of an over the counter starter available for the FF version of the early to mid 90's Van diemen. For example, the FC uses a mid 90's Ford Taurus v-6 starter....
+1 for Brad
Awesome!
It looks like they beefed up the area where the top wing mount bolts on?
Do it. Can't hurt, only help. Good luck in your quest.
Checked the slave arm to cross shaft for proper teeth engagement or wear?
I think the basic FE chassis started it's life as a motorcycle powered car. Do a little research you should be able to find out about it.
Unless my math is wrong, that is only 4.5% loss. Not that much in my book, but maybe a ton for your application.
