A Sports Racer (ASR) has same rules as Formula S (FS) except it's closed wheel.
The Hayabusa doesn't use them, just a thick washer and a lock nut. I've been running them for over 10 years & they never get loose, no reason it should since the sprocket is splined.
Michigan, land of snowmobiles, Rotaxs, CVTs. Almost seems like an unfair advantage to us southern boys! Just kidding, congrats to all you guys. Great race to watch, you put the five car FA race to...
I'm with Jay, with the current political situation/economy and Runoffs entry numbers in most open wheel classes (FV excluded), who would be thinking about buying an formula race car? And then we have...
Ya, FA with only 5 cars? Really?
Your welcome.;)
The FFR replica is the only one I have experience with, however I have read it's the most complete & best supported kit on the market. I used a 97 Mustang Cobra for the donor car with the aluminum 32...
Ya.;)
Neil, just hook up a good old lead acid battery and see if the problem goes away.;)
If it's just track days then you'd be best off with Formula S. No expensive spec rules to meet other than the standard safety rules which you'll have with any class car. ;)
The Michael's here in the Hotlanta area doesn't carry the transparent poster board, do you have the UPC barcode for it?;)
Agreed, powder coating is not for frames. The fact that it remains flexible means the underlying structure can crack without cracking the powder coat, making it undetectable to the human eye,...
So how do we know which Majors events will allow non-Majors classes?
And there is something about the series winner getting a paid F2000 season next year? Oh ya!
Absolutely, Cal drove the race like the experienced veteran that he is, setting up the last lap like Daytona was his home track. Good to see one of my old competitors make it to the top!:trophy:
A few new names have been added to the list since "back in your day"!;)
Dale is correct. If removing the alt wire doesn't cure it keep disconnecting power wires until you locate the source.
Ah, the good old CVT. I don't miss it at all.
I once watch Steven fight a FA off going into 10A, pretty cool. Steven & I, along with a few others here in the SEDIV, are all about the same age and I have been watching him run with the lead pack...
Excellent! Congrats.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
I'm predicting Daytona 'just might possibly' have a FB with a quicker lap than FA. :revs:
Definitely not design for frontal impacts.
But Froggy, why fool with turning the engine around when you could just drop in a nice modern 750cc bike engine like some of us wanted to do back in the 90's? And while your at it, bolt on a super...
Hey, hey, hey! It can be both! :D
Not an autocrosser here but have always wondered if roadracing rain tires with their super sticky soft compound would work for the short duration of an autocross run on dry pavement. Surely it's been...
Trying one on with a helmet in the car you'll be driving is a must. The seat may need to be moved forward slightly to allow room for the thickness of the HANS between your helmet & the 36 sq. in. x...
I doubt the new drivers are going to want be field fillers.
Of course for your annual tech it seems they go by the gauge. However Keith is correct, technically & for your own safety those cheap little gauges should be verified by weight.;)
On the line is usually considered good in most sports.
Rumor has it that the Coopster will be in the latest Runoffs winning new 2015 model RFR Formula 1000 model next season.:revs:
I doubt transport wheels could be used on a SR3 because of clearance under the body work. I throw a floor jack under the hitch of my E150 (better to securely haul your stuff than a F150), tow vehicle...
I'm guessing the latest variable rate super secret compound puck material isn't as heat resistant as the old rubber pucks from back in the day?
Most racing karts require intake silencers to meet sound limits also.
And a big juicy kiss from the trophy girl! :D
Not a GSXR1000 here but had exactly the same situation with my Busa powered Ralt. Even bought a new slave cylinder but still had the same problem. I could bleed the system & by the time I got to the...
You must use a long chain on that FB, my Busa FS only uses a little over 1/2 of a Busa bike chain.
Whoa dude, the next time you get ready to throw some of that extra cut off chain away let me know, I'll happily pay for shipping & handling. ;)
Probably just means no novice permit holders.
Surprising to see that only 2 of the entries are from the west coast. This is the largest support of any class from the rest of the country. ...
Yes, congrats to Jack. Wasn't this his first time at Barber?:thumbsup::thumbsup:
And after the Runoffs you'll run the ARRC, correct?
Ya, this could be the best year ever for the ARRC with the RO's out west at Laguna Seca!
"There's only a few guys that can consistently AND precisely tune the two-stroke/cvt combination in the country."
Clint has it correct here and this is probably the biggest problem with this...
"Jeremy'd" not to be forgotten.
Have you tried disengaging the clutch by moving the lever arm manually with the slave cylinder removed?
note: A concentric slave cylinder is one that mounts around the input shaft inside of the...
I've got a $uzuki dry sumped 1340 if you can squeeze it in there.
Ted, I'm not familiar with the FM clutch design, does it use the external clutch slave cylinder or concentric slave cylinder?
Can these Girling MCs not be rebuilt by smoothing the cylinder bore with the correct size hone?
Think I'll make one in my Formula S Ralt ---- NOT.
SCCA 9.1.8.A.3 P2 rules under d. Bodywork 1. b2 states:
All forward facing openings must be connected to duct(s) connected to heat exchangers...
Your sprocket ratio really depends on what track you're running on. At Rd Atlanta I run a 16/47 ratio with 22 X 9 rear tires, however at a shorter track like Barber I wouldn't even get into 6th gear,...
