Looks like a Titan oil pump that was so common on 2Ltr cars back in the 80's
Interesting, as the Hewland Mk series and LD200 series have different ear profiles. I think these are designed as a Mk style.
Not Waterford, too many trees in view
Original Cortina ?
I'm trying to remember back to 1971, so I may be incorrect.
As the rear of a formula car weights more then the front, I would expect it to be warmer.
Sorry, but I don't have any C8 rims halves either.
Steve, Yep, that reads easier.
Steve,
No corner of the car weights 1500 lbs. The whole car maybe.
Remember, springs rates I've given are for old cars, in some case, not adjusted for modern replacement tires.
The Surtees TS-5A in the shop has run #400 rear springs.
I remember changing the Chevron B24 springs (mid 70's) to #500
I thought the LG layshaft, as measured across the 10 splines, was more in the 1.5" range
Check out VSCDA. I know they have run events at Elkhart Lake.
This is how we have set them up since the 80's

We use Cartel 580 on everything that runs through the shop (F5 - F5000). It is a DOT 4, 580 dry boiling point (min wet, 410). Girling LMA dry numbers are south of that. It will mix with those fluids...
SCCA did not have a national "log book" in 1970-71.
The Central-Division (old one, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota) were the test for the concept in 1971. I don't remember...
I think that is the same kit as the shorter stroke master cylinder, CP2623, which I have kits for.
However you fix it, in the future, use Anti-seize on the spark plug threads.
Normal slave cylinder size was 7/8".
Longer pedal, less effort.
As noted, you do not want the dust seals on a caliper used for racing, as the increased heat of racing pad materials can cause them to get brittle and interfere with the pistons, quicker then in a...
If your engine has a magneto or runs an alternator, you need the switch with those extra connections.
Can't you just weld a 1.25" OD pipe to the bottom of the 1.5" part and call it a day ?
The common slave cylinder bore back then was 7/8" There are some in 3/4", that if used, would give you a shorter stroke but higher pedal effort.
Also, racing clutch covers (diaphragms), like AP ...
Remove the four screws and see if the diaphragm is still flexible. Also, be sure it is void of any cracks/ holes.
Also, remove the check valve that holds the squinter nozzle in place and see if the...
No.
A DGB box is going to be used with something that has lot's of power.
I would not.
I'm just saying.
It's like when SCCA tried to fudge the participation average numbers on Shelby CanAm to keep them a National class, and yet their numbers at the time would have cancelled any other...
You know they have to allow their class, FE2 with it's numbers, and FB's numbers are better (not great, just better).
Once again with SCCA having their own cars to promote, there will be...
Reminds me of the one from my Hawke DL-12. Maybe an earlier model?
I think Bob was dealing with a vehicle that had a front mounted oil tank, thus the method he chose was probably the best.
Otherwise, remove the plugs and crank works.
What a great opportunity for someone, to team up with a person with a long, deep motorsports background !
Most single seaters I have seen don't have room for lap adjusters or they ride on your hips.
Real race calipers do not have "Dust Seals".
Discard.
Sterling Mag ?
Greg Sorrentino sold some from Argentina called that, but I don't recall exactly what they looked like.
Yes, in stock.
You need the master switch made for vehicles with an alternater. The Mag needs to be grounded to shut the engine down.
This switch has extra connections on it, more then just the two large poles....
At this time, the FIA certs do not expire on your H&N device.
H&N tethers.
This is a problem I have with the current SVRA, they don't reconize FIA standards !
The 1" sounds a bit on the big size.
The later model Lola S-2000, with LD-65's (4-36mm pistons each) all around came with .75" front and .875" rear.
The combination you have may exhibit an "on-off"...
That won't happen.
Where it could happen in the cooling system overflow, the oil system operates differently
Not only did SteveThompson win F5 but another one of Teds cars was second.
The top three drivers are all from Michigan.
Congratulations.
25c car wash (more like $1.75 now).
For some manufactures, they call this type of harness layout, a Formula style.
Been used by Willans, Luke, etc., not only for formula/sport racers but GT/sedan types, forever.
