Russ and all the guys played nice on Sun. It was good to see a BIG field of winged cars on such a nice day in AL.
The 77 was just flyin 2nd overall?
All nice cars! Having taken a break from racin / spendin this is all so clear?
The driver IS for sure the speed.
The Phenoix was ...well slow, until MJ joined up.
The VD was a 4th place...
I would have to disagree with the downforce classification of RR, with almost a mile long straight and no 1st gear turns this is one of the fastest tracks in the south? Don't come here down on power...
Hey no one has to even say anything about Taylor, they just call you sometimes to see if things are going alright! I diden't race last season and got 2 calls from them to see if things were OK. Sure...
Mike our short wheel base cars come alive at this track, especially if it rains like last year!
1st gear isn't as low as Nashville but lower than anywhere else to deal with the switch-back at mid...
I'd put a medium size oil cooler right out in the air flow on the diffuser.
When being hammered, do what the hammer does .......if you have the same hammer then its all up to who's driving the nails?
It seems that using an ECU over-ride system ie. rewriting the fuel trim and ignition timing maps, the PROM, your always in open loop anyhow so the OEM ECU is only used for inputs and outputs throwing...
Hey Man,
Car looks great!
Since your talking about side pod air outlet, what Mike said. The RF95(interchangable with the RF96) has a bigger, untapered outlet that I would think is still the best...
Don't yall celebrate another holiday right after Christmas over there? Merry christmas !...Be it a late one.
Go with the heavy axle and only one rear brake. On an FC car the rear brakes wear 3-4 times less than the front even with small 19 on the rear and big 20 up front. My buddy that converted a big Ralt...
Wren..you ment a good FA??? Right? Now my FC 10a trap speed was right around a good FF speed .;)
Sean with his old soon to be blowen up engine, sure looked quick down the back at RA in the vid?...
Yes second what Russ said our prayers are with yall. You folks have always had great service and been very nice everytime I have called! I'm sure everything will go smooth.
Sending over a service...
On an injected engine at WOT the injectors are full on (not pulsing) anymore, so I would suspect that when you snap off the wha peddle some waist gas is being spit out causing flames. Any burn in the...
Wow you realy touched on a point there Scala...I think with out knowing it??;) The V-4 design is impractacal in a race car...SO if Honda is replacing the inline 4 in a few years HMM I wonder if any...
http://www.dlbracing.com/clubs/clubdrivers.aspx?EventID=2992 Looks like the FB count is coming up already, FE isen't looking too shabby either.
I see group 4 and 10 are qualifing togeather! lost of...
I just love this car! Ben you are an artiest, perfect!
When/where are the tests to take place?
Russ is right, just because none were entered you can't just leave out a class?? Wierd? At least yall got it ironed out.
62 cars!! and 5 FBs what a race! Looks like fun, I love this track on PSII,...
Well wasen't FS first created for these cars? But then some guys with new FA's thought it would be cute to run FS putting the MS /FC cars right back where they were, 2 old for FC and 2 new for CFC?...
That is one big under tray, I like it!
Ive seen the trend go toward big side pods on a few of the newer cars vs. the very small VD ones of the past? Do the MC engines need more cooling? Do you have...
:alien: <----What about this guy? Or is he with Sean?
Yeah I smoked Sean. The vid even shows it.
No I diden't blow the apex, just gave room.:o
Nice race in the rain!
It must be getting close its in the the garage now?;)
Looking at other race cars most have gone to round tubing. I remember when the dirt late modles went from 2+3 tubing to 2+2 that was a big breakthrough. Then I think it was Bloomquist that showed up...
Ahh the stakes get knocked off unloading the car anyway and if not then the first time you go mow the grass.
Looks and sounds like a little F1 car. It just looks fast....and fun too.
At the RA nat. last month the Stohr's stayed off the curbing and I noticed you did also. Are these cars just that...
You would think that 'Elan knowes what they are doing as far as building race cars? I'm sure that the car did its job. Brands too bad that nice front wing was trashed....I'll bet a lot of work went...
I see that they do bass boats.... Us rednecks love that glitter!
Did you say "what will a few pounds extra matter"????
Really... ya'll are going to put wood on a race car? When I got this 95 VD and it had wood floor pans on the side I just wondered? Crossle and Reynard cars Ive drove used Alum. on the side floors but...
So thats what a RF-95 looks like without all the expensive stuff hooked to it?
You did all the work, are your arm still sore from the rivets?
Will there be a secondary front wing flap option (ala Van Diemen) for high down force tracks or is the signal plane wing enough?
Welcome to the 21st century!
I think that the '06 Van Diemen pro car has Ally calipers, but they may not fit?
Well that explainers it Russ!!! If you would have brought the Ivey up to 10K in the ARRC you could have given Mike a good fight!!;)
Ive seen 10k in a Pinto:skull:
OK Im gonna say it, I...
Thats a nice time at RRR, a track that is temp. and tire sensitive. For the first time out too.
I'm sure that this car will go in the 2's by the time the first Nat. race is over, especially if...
I left a very busy and profitable national chain (that paid flat rate) because they made all the money off my expertise, tools, time and loyalty giving back very little. A flat rate mechanic MUST fly...
Aero, Aero, Aero??? Function is art?? The smaller hole the nose punches the faster...84 Reynard vs 96 VD. Plus the raised nose gives you more usable wing area.
The side pod cut in at that nasty...
