Like BBR said, I'd check with your local race facilities to know for sure.

Hey Stan, I thought the Fastest FB trap speed at Daytona was a 169.xx.
Doug
The way I read it is:
2007 and 2008 Suzuki get the 37.5 along with any other engine from 2008 and newer. If its a 2007 engine or older other than the Suzuki then no restrictor.
Right?

Much Appreciated Jay.
Anybody want to guess what that will knock off in HP rating? George D., Got any input?
Doug
Hey Rob, is there a "Specific" list or table showing the restrictor sizes or is any and all Engines going to run a 37.5mm if it's newer than 2008?
I'm wondering if the Honda Engine will now be...
Stan, partially true... my car had the 1st gen aluminum belly pan still on it and undertray but the bodywork and wings were 2nd Gen.
Stan, nothing special was added to my car, no chassis mods etc. All of the components were stock. I know that the 'Vented' rotors were 7.5 lbs each and were stock items for the fronts. Rears were...
I purchased a 2nd Gen Stohr car and with it's Stock Stohr items (Battery, Brakes - Rotors, 8" & 10" wheels - tires, bodywork) my car weighed in at 845 lbs. with 1 gallon of fuel in the tank.
I'm...
Mike, I'm also 6'2" and 215. I fit in my Stohr/BRD FB but barely. My car only weighs in at 810 lbs wet. At our last Majors I was 50 lbs overweight at the scales.
I could see raising the class...
Your exactly correct GPB. This is what the FB class needs.... a dedicated engine. It would eliminate so much and would lend itself to the 'car design' and driver as the significant factor of best...
Thanks for the suggestion Hazelnut... but I'm looking at a Spec class like the FM or FE only.
Doug
Hey Frank, I see those three lines... now the two blue ones are they for measurements of the foam seat? The yellow one I can see is just for the width of the cockpit w/o the head surround.

I've got my F1000 (Stohr) up for sale and I'm wanting to go to FM. Anyone interested in a trade + cash for my Stohr?
Doug in Colorado
We've got 5 now... :)
Doug
Mike, since Gary is a Wilwood Dealer ask him.
I've got p/n 120-9705 for the Rear which is a 4 piston 1.375" (piston size) using a 3/8" thick rotor. For fronts if you've got the .81" or .75" thick...
Mike, I concur with Ivinsea. Your better off getting new calipers. I did just the same thing when I built my 2007 Stohr / 2011 BRD car.
Are you using .375" solid or .810" vented rotors? Or...
Hey everyone, I haven't received much input in the last couple of months so the list pretty much hasn't changed. I think Mike Finch is new with the purchase of the 1st Gen Stohr out of Texas.
If...
Thanks Jason, my pleasure to help out.

O.K., since I've just started taking in the info for the National FB Drivers Roster (and it's still being updated) looks like we've got a good number of drivers located in the 'Central States',...
Hey Everyone, I hope you can all D/L this .pdf file of the updated FB Drivers Roster. As you can see we've only got around 25% of the listed drivers email addresses. If you want yours listed and...
Anthony, thanks. Got it updated. Do you want a current copy? Send me your email addy via p.m. if you'd like. What's his car #?
Doug
JP, thank you. I've gone through this thread from beginning to end and the list is pretty current. I found 3 additions and have already updated the list.
Everyone who is a 'FB' driver please...
David, There is another Thread on this site with some good numbers of 'FB' car counts / Drivers in the US by each State :)
John Paul started this Great Thread "List of FB Drivers" back in Nov...
Heya Jake, well so far I'm planning on running the Div's in our area, and the Majors for our area as well.
I'm working on a Sponsor out of Denver (my old sponsor when I ran Super Late Models),...
Gotcha on the Pro Series, so is it the USF1000 Series then http://www.usf1000.com/, or is that no longer valid?
Doug
Just curious and wondering if a 'Central' Division (Series) would hurt the existing 'East - West' series for participants for the F1000 Pro Series?
Doug
Just curious... and I'm assuming that an Engine doesn't come with a 'New' F600 car package or does it?
Doug
This is just a cost involvement idea for you. I purchased a used car that was 'Literally' in pieces / boxes / buckets etc.... by the time I was finished 18 months later.. I ended up with 55k in it....
O.K., let's get some input from those who've done the Conversions and see what they've spent. Just asking for costs / time etc. No speed secrets need be revealed. :o
Just going through some...
Great Info!
Jerry, understood. :)
Granted, but driving style, tire choices, car setup etc. is all independent to the teams and we don't restrict any of that, so imo it doesn't come into play with regards to being a relative factor in...
O.K., here's an option.... If the restrictors aren't the way to go... (not saying it is or isn't at this point) what about utilizing a simple Power to Weight Rule.
Since the rules allow any...
Gary, right now I'm making weight at 1020 lbs wet with the GSXR. I'm also 6'2" and 210 lbs., so I'm good to go with the GSXR for now... I can't see going to any other engine that will just add more...
If we 'could' get a motorcycle manufacturer to 'supply' our class with engines it would be a great thing.... just using Honda as an example knowing they are supplying the Formula F series now. Even...
Now an engine with ~290 HP.... that's a monster.... wonder what it weighs and if you could use a wet sump?
George, thoughts?
Doug
What is the FA class weight / power output compared to our FB class 1000 lb / ~185HP ratio?
Doug
Grats bud! Nice work!

I believe there may have been an issue with the cars overall height per Table 5 Item 'C' which limit it to 90cm.

We just bought a Sport Touring BMW and our local Dealer told us the same thing when we started discussing the 'Sponsoring' of BMW Engines for use in our FB.
I like your Idea regarding the FB-1, 2 possibility. It's the best of both worlds.
