For some reason, I really like time stamp 3:25.;)
I just ordered three pair. Sonya said that 70 had been ordered so far, so with my order there should be 76. She thought there should be no problem in getting to 120. 120 is the next cutoff not 108....
We are planning on ordering at least one pair. We are waiting for the STL Region and Midiv schedules. The local schedule should be out soon. The Midiv schedule, I don't know.
The 2024 PAX index is 0.898. 2023 PAX was 0.896.
I'll be taking mine to Nationals to return to R&S.
And, I've got two pair. Quite a few of us have a pair or two. If you find someone who wants them let us know.
Just got an email from Sonya. Hoosier managed to screw up enough of the new batch of 60, that I'm getting 4 tires instead of the 6 I ordered. Of course, Sonya instantly refunded the difference.
I'm impressed that they not only made 60 tires with the wrong compound, but 10 of them (17%) were spoiled.:meatball:
If anyone needs a golf cart, Nebraska Golf and Turf has 30 two seaters left. Four seaters are gone.
Looking through the entry list there are a whole lot of 1xx numbers without a corresponding xx. There will probably be some drivers without their expected co-drivers.
There were 100 on the wait...
I am not ready to write a letter, yet. While I am strongly leaning toward 6 and 8 inch wheels, I am keeping an open mind. I want to see more results from testing other options before sending a letter.
The Brits are searching for and replacement for the Avons for next year.
It just occurred to me that if we go to 6 and 8 inch wheels, I can use the same tires on the Reynard that I use on the SoloVee.:ha:;)
Although the SoloVee uses 8 and 10 inch wheels.
5) Wheel change, spec Hoosier FC bias plies.
Does anyone know what the Goodyear tire compounds are? I've searched for the info but can't find it. Goodyear produces slicks that use 6 and 8 inch wheels. The compound is R255.
Edit: These tires...
I'm not on facebook.
My preference is 2.
If every owner of a FF on the CM list bought two rear tires, we would buy 90 tires. Come on, guys. Or, maybe you would prefer sliding around on the CF R60 tires. Or, buying 8" rear wheels.
I just ordered 6. :greenflag:
Chris, I still have the White SoloVee number 65. It will be back out when a) I get the excess oil pressure problem fixed and b) I get thin enough to fit in it.
[QUOTE]All of that said, I don't like the 8" wheel option for this reason: I don't think very many people would exercise that option unless there was a guarantee that the 8" wide wheel is legal in...
I was on the Hoosier website last week and noticed the disappearance of the rear tires. I was going to post, but forgot when I got sidetracked. I then took a look at Avon, but not at the others.
I...
Rick Ruth hasn't had anything to do with the Pro Solo index for several years. It is determined by the National office.
It looks like 42 entries showed up according to Pronto live timing.
Wednesday, we broke the record high by 5 degrees. Last night it snowed. Today is the last event of the season with several class championships to be determined. The high temp today will be about 35,...
High enough that it destroys the oil pressure gauge and then the oil departs the engine through various seals and gaskets.
And the engine builder is out of business. I think he retired.
Gary, Don't you have to have a motorsports business to get into PRI?
Steve, I would like to see your trailer, but I would like to see the Mallock even more.
I had been concentrating on the width of the tailgate opening an didn't realize the overall width of the wide body is only 2" larger than the two motorcycle trailer. The wide body is the way to go,...
With several non-car related issues solved, we should have the Reynard out next year with John driving and maybe a guest driver or two.
If I lose enough weight and get the very high oil pressure...
Hey guys.
We are still shopping trailers. What I want is a small, low profile, light weight trailer. I've looked at all sorts of low profile aluminum trailer, then I found...
Congratulations, Ben.
There is no fuel on site. The local Harley-Davidson dealer has 95 octane if you get there early.
Ben, Hoosier is the only company I've found that has wet tarmac rally tires in a 13" diameter. They recommend 7.0 and 7.5 inch width wheels.

I've been wondering that, myself
It is all about risk management and safety. The number of incidents involving Junior Karts was remarkable higher than those for cars. Apparently, there was another serious incident last year which...
No message, title says it all.
If you want to kill SoloVees completely, that will do it.
It appears that Goodyear does not make Formula F tires.
Ben, Congratulations on another jacket. :trophy::margarita:
1. Slower steering rack. But that is not very helpful on small, tight courses due to the increased steering input.
2. Longer steering arms. Same as above.
3. Go to the gym and build the...
The car probably won't be there. I cancelled my hotel reservation when it seemed that I had a lung infection. I don't, but since Lancaster county is now an extremely high risk area for COVID I'm...
Jim will not be able to make it. If any experienced CM drivers want a co-drive let me know. The fee is a set of rain tires.
The Reynard is available. John would be happy to have you co-drive.
I haven't gotten another trailer since the old one burned in the fire. For the last event, we borrowed a ginormous open car trailer. It took 3 people 2 hours using ramps under the rear wheels of the...
Based on an entry to a Kansas City Region event, there is another SoloVee in the class. Graham Smith is entered in a 1985 Lynx B car number 5.
John ran the third heat and it was 102 degrees according the the thermometer on my truck. He says this car is a rocket compared to the late, lamented 85. He DNFd the first two runs. He was arriving...
AM/DM/EM Tues/Wed
BM/CM/FM/KM Thurs/Fri
I'm fairly certain we won't make it. John has been out of work and maybe starting a new job soon. And I don't have a trailer yet.
Otherwise, we'd love to have you in the car. It's just like...
a properly set up cvt will always be better than a motorcycle transmission.
