Hi, Have you gone anywhere with the Viper chassis?
We assembled 2 of the 3 kits that Porsche U.S. bought in 1965 and stored in a warehouse in LA. They were sold on eBay in the late 90's and brought to the NW US (Spokane). 2 are still in Spokane, one...
Early Formcar's were serialized with stamped tags that were welded to the chassis.
Thanks for sharing the build pics.! We're going through HU66 now. This chassis has rows of blind rivets along the lower and mid-rear of the outer tub panels that seemingly have no use. They hold...
Not mine, nor anyone I know: https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/pts/d/vintage-sports-racer-front/6337166042.html
We have one in the shop now. 1st is really skinny, about 8mm wide.
We most likely had that chassis in our shop a few years ago. A Spokane, WA guy owns it now. It had a Saab 3 cyl. in it when it won the SCCA nationals in the 60's. It has a Ford 1500 push rod engine...
If you look you will see that the adapter is -12 x -10 although they don't make it clear which end is which.
Pegasus sells one as well. Look up part #3603-12-10

What's your projected gpm of oil flow at race rpm?
Swift part is different in that it sits the starter lower on the block. This one is more toward the top of the block.
Yes, my mistake. It doesn't bolt to the head but the side of the block. Thanks! No starter we have will work with it though... And it mounts to the LH side of the block and puts the starter just...
Got this with a bunch of BD parts. Fits up to the water port in the head. Bracket for_____?
I'd call Tilton and ask about it.
I think the last pedal we made was 2.5" from lower pivot to pushrod pivot and about 9" tall over-all.
We've always used 5/8" front and 3/4" rear masters. Wouldn't the ratio depend upon where the pushrod pivot is located in relation to the lower pivot on the pedal as well?
Look for a 6mm +/- hole in the main roll bar behind the driver. There should be some stamped numbers around that area.
Al was one of the "old-timers" when I started racing Vees in '89.
Best of luck to the OP with the purchase of the Misterious Vee!
That's Al Ores! He's a great guy and still races the same car he did a few decades ago.
(Pre-fuel cell requirements) We used that method at a race once, minus the Super Clean: guy had a Fiat spider with a rusty tank that kept plugging the fuel filter. Drained fuel, removed tank, filled...
Not mine nor anyone I know:
"Box of carburetors. Some new.
All items are best offer. There is other miscellaneous VW stuff I have not fully uncovered yet. Everything is located in my home garage...
Probably just put the tang back on the rod and be good to go.
What he said^^
Is your float plastic or brass? If plastic does it still have the brass tang attached to it? If it does it needs to be removed. Turn the float up-side-down and reinstall and put the...
I assume they are cast aluminum? Welding heat would burn any finishes off obviously...
Will follow up with a PM.
We've done a couple but they are a pain.
I was wondering what they were all about and found some cool F4 stuff:
