Welcome! Maybe try to contact Lenny Tumenas, he's up your way.
PFM is the best bang for the buck out there. Tons of performance for cheap and you can get parts.
have a spare for one of the cars. More just looking for info for the future.
Who is everyone using to rebuild their rotaries these days? SpeedSource is obviously long gone.
I heard Drummond is good but I swear someone told me he was retired or will be retiring in the near...
the splined output shaft/coupler/tripod housing/boot/axle assembly as a unit should just slide into the transaxle. I’m a few cars passed my PFM so memory is a little fuzzy. I’m not sure if there...
1. I ran T6 rotella in mine forgetting the weight off the top of my head
2. yes. 2 stroke oil. 1 ounce per gallon of fuel.
3. yes. 91-93 octane pump fuel fine. DO NOT RUN LEADED. (this is per Speed...
You’ll fit no prob the tub is big on them. I’m 6’1” 200lbs when I raced mine regularly. Been porkier and fit too. If you want to come take a look PM me.
they're great cars. bang for the buck is off the charts on them. I've got two in my shop here in NY (long island) if you want to come take a look at one in person
Bruce is still around and I'm sure he's got records for it if he took care of it back in the day. I believe this is a current phone number for him 631-807-6180
the flatshifter uses a push/pull actuator solenoid so it should work for any sequential transmission
i have a complete flatshifter kit (Max + Expert + Paddles) that I bought a few years ago to covert my radical to paddles. Never got around to installing it and was planning on listing it for sale...
try vacuum bagging, it will even out your resin coverage and distribution/saturation in the layers of glass/carbon. If you REALLY want to get fancy try resin infusion. I've yet to attempt it but it...
i've been doing a bunch of vacuum bagged carbon recently and have been getting supplies from compositeenvisions.com these days, found them on ebay but now just buy direct from their site. pretty good...
I've heard good things about Drummond
i ran rotella t6
i raced on that repaired wheel for a season and half after it was welded. no issues.
That said the diamonds are cheap. Probably cheaper to buy a new diamond than to strip, have welded, and recoat...
that happened to me on a steel weller way back when when i ran FF (like 2004ish), brought it to welder and they repaired it.
I also bought some diamond steel wheels as spares after that. They...
Very cool!
i've been trying to find someone with moulds for a long time but nobody seems to have them
Pull moulds and make your own potato chip thin bodywork!
(posted this earlier but in the wrong forum)
I have been contemplating sourcing some aftermarket wheels to fit my SR3 but will probably have to order multiple sets. Just trying to gauge interest...
Just tryign to gauge interest in aftermarket Radical Wheels. Is there any demand for them? Cost would obviously be less than factory wheels.
hmmmmm. update this thread when molds are pulled. this makes me want to get a crossle and do this!
i believe the number is basically $116k on track, no spares. They're pretty sweet. We've been running one in the MRTI series and I did session in it a few weeks ago at the end of a test day for ****s...
Anyone got his email address?
Before I start fabrication something, does anyone already make a decent bracket to mount the shifter solenoid to a hayabusa engine?
do a bead seat
or if you really want a great seat get a Speed Seat done by Jody
http://www.speedseatfactory.com
they aren't cheap but they're worth it, 10X better than any bead seat I've ever...
I heard theyre planning on doing some FRP events and a "formula car experience" type thing with them. Totally unconfirmed rumor mill on the later though so take it for what it's worth.
Also...
Tilo has a ton of them
They're not competitive with a well driven proper FA. They are great cars though. I like my PFM better than any or the 5 or 6 different f2000s I've owned. Bang for the buck is phenomenal with them....
I'm bringing a pair of PFMs to the FL majors. I think we're also going to run FRP some this season too, I'd say Road Atlanta
for sure.
the new car is legitimately much faster than the old car, so far 3-5 seconds (depending on the track) under tracks record with the old car. So there was a reasonable concern.
I went and looked at...
I would always rather buy spares from fellow races, they sell stuff they're not using I save a few bucks. Win-win.
still looking!
Correction. I got confirmation this morning that "PFM Classic" isn't going to happen.
per the schedule announcement last month the previous generation cars can run in the pro series
"In Pro Mazda, the National Class will be replaced by the Pro Mazda Classic (PMC) Series – a...
Looking for some SR3 parts. Interested in any suspension bits a-arms, pushrods, rockers, uprights, also looking for some additional wheels. Maybe some aero bits too?
PM with what you've got!
Little column A, little column B
Finelli and I might go run for ****s and giggles
FYI Terran has worked with me for two years and is a solid mechanic who I trust implicitly with my car(s). For example, we ran a fast oval a few days ago with my PFM doing ~135+MPH avg laps, and I'm...
i'll be out there crewing!
it was a group effort :meatball:
hahaha! yes, yes it is. :D
3 or 4 of us down at St. Pete? Cars run the same map as the champ spec cars. My car is legal for either class, same with finelli. So obviously parity is there.
We chose to run national because...
kevin, you can't miss our awning, it's the only lime green inflatable bouncy castle with leather recliners under it in the paddock
oval or road course? I ran the road course this season in USF2000 and it was fun. Very cool to be actually racing on indy. RACING. AT. INDY!!!! (say that to yourself a few times). Not the oval but...
in the f2cs pro series entries were (still are) about $1000 per weekend. Test days were an additional fee. Tires were about $1000ish and they lasted one weekend. You needed at least a set, often more...
I just can't believe she broke apart like that. The hit seemed pretty light for that kind of damage.
Really? :meatball:
