Get into 1990 and you bring in the the DB6. It would totally dominate. We had that happen in SEDIV CFC class years ago.
I was happy with a 7 x 20 V-nose. Had room for pit scooter, tools, and spares, yet could pull it with "1500/150" level vehicles, such as 5.4 gas Expeditions, 5.4 gas vans, pickups, etc.
Well we know all the P2 guys didn't move to FC.

After much study to learn what PAXing in autocross meant to us unwashed, I now understand why a Crosley Hot Shot was declared the winner of the 1950 Sebring race even though it didn't cover the most...
TimH in post #6 may have been talking about me. Years ago I said, "if you do a complete frame up on the car, and while doing it leave every tool you use laying on the floor, then those are the only...

Many engine builders have been recommending diesel oil in old style vintage engines (e.g. Kent, Pinto) for years. It's all about the additive package.
Also, Mobil 1 motorcycle oil...

Maybe disconnect bottom hoses on rads...
Sort of depends what you want to do with the car. Racing in SCCA involves following closely to a very defined rule structure. Racing in many other venues maybe not so much. There are many series...

Technology marches forward.
Check with Keith Averill @ Racing Stuff
I always used very large plumbing plyers, grabbing the rim where those two indents are.

10 degrees isn't a big deal for the oil, and they had extended sumps with extended pickups... Besides which the oil would run back to the center because of the blinding acceleration forces.
To add to Steve's history lesson...
Early on you had to start the race with a functioning fan and belt... didn't mean you had to finish with one. ;)
Then at some point the generator was...

If Lathrop says its OK. Its OK. I would drive one of his designs through the gates of hell. Especially with his new halo configuration.
Maybe put a single port 1600 in the car... it sort of...
I questioned this part of the job description:
"you have to be able to take simple precise direction without discussion"
I probably took it wrong :o but wouldn't "discussion" be part of...
Reality:

168 x $15/hr = $2,520
That's what my shop help would get for that assignment. Actually they would get more because I pay overtime past 40...
My trailer is now 17 years old. Built it with a V nose and only 6' high (about 5'9" inside) so its roof was level with the top of our Ford Expedition. Worked well with the Expo and works well with...
Any car can be a good car to start autocrossing. You'll learn a bunch. Jazz up the engine and have even more fun. Lots of good solo events in your area. Check out some of the Corvette club ones....
Over 5300 views... all I can say is it must still be snowing up north. :)
I sort of see both sides of this story having lived through much of it. The truth of the matter is that there would have...
This is great news about a great guy. John Fergus has been selected to enter the SCCA HOF this year. I even got to crew for him in '91 in IMSA GTU. And, one time 20 years ago he showed me the...
