Custom suit suggestions
Looking to get a new suit and thinking of custom as i wear a 50R jacket and my XXL Simpson is too long/baggy and an XL doesnt have enough shoulder room, any suggestions on which brand as well as which options are actually worthwhile in a formula car would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have Simpson make custom suits to my dimensions. Not that expensive and you get the shape you want. Suggest you ask for longer arms than their measurement system indicates. I'm on my third custom suit and am pleased. Vicky Pond in Phoenix is the Simpson rep here who can do the measurements.
YMMV

Hinchman in Indy was the gold standard and did most of the pros for years. I bought mine many years ago and it was top notch in fit and workmanship. Can't say how they are today but they would be my first choice. Check 'em out.

I agree on Hinchman although my experience is not recent either

I started a parallel thread last year with some good referrals that might be helpful — though I’ve yet to act on the advice.
Happy shopping:

Second this. Stand21 has made multiple suits for me. Perfect fit, great communication, timely delivery every time.

I have a Sabelt custom that I'm super happy with. Wasn't cheap but the quality is fantastic. Email Erik erik@carellogroup.com for details. We did 4 custom suits for our FatBoy baja1000 effort
HRX suits are nice too. Ayla Agren (former f1600 champion) is the US contact I believe. She's at all the indycar events with suits and team gear. https://hrxusa.com/
