Control Cables
Years ago when I still had a Pinto engine, probably around 1994, I bought some push-pull throttle cables from Control Cables. They were the best, most flexible and smooth-acting push-pull cables I've ever had.
Today, when installing my Zetec, I noticed the inner cable wire was in bad shape, but the sheath was OK, so I called them.
I asked if I could just replace the inner cable, and they agreed that would be possible. So for two 90"-long Teflon-wrapped 3" stroke ultra-light inner cables with one end plain and one end with 10-32 threads, it'll be around $50 total + shipping and they'll go out tomorrow.
It's nice to know that companies that really like to help their customers still exist.

We took delivery of the first FSCCA car In the US. Putting it together I thought the shift cable supplied was a real POS. Even with heat barrier it melted the first session we ran the car. I called those guys and they built a cable for a fraction of what SCCA wanted that was indestructible. They were fantastic to work with.
