Just out of curiosity why no Indy? Was SVRA a pain to work with? It seems as though that event was really well attended.

SVRA all formula car Indy event is planned for every other year, not every year.

Rand is telling me that the new Pitt is a soon to be "classic". A super new track.
Sounds like a great schedule to me.
Throw in a Road America or Mosport and it would rival 2010!
Any chance FRP has testing sessions that a FC car that isn't racing can get in on?

We will have the preliminary weekend schedules posted on the websites as soon as we can. Some are already set up, a couple need some tweaks.
Also- whatever is talked about at the winter meeting will go out in an email as well.
Definitely. It is perfect for these cars. It has rythym sections, high speed stuff, technical sections and multiple opportunities to turn corner exit speed into a pass. It's a great track. I've started to really look forward to going there.Quote:

There are places to eat besides Al's, just have to look a little harder. Try going to Ellwood City for starters, a few options there.

IMO, Brandon's & Wren's issue finding a place to eat is literally that they spend so much time working on the car that there are usually only a few minutes to eat available if they want to get their work done or sleep. They rarely seem to have time for a sit-down dinner or to travel anywhere out of the way to eat.
That's not a criticism, just a fact. They are as devoted to perfecting their performance as anyone I have ever seen.
There is at least one other place to eat after you've sampled Al's. I know for a fact there is a Subway across the street from Al's.
For real though, if you can avoid staying in Cranberry, where it seems most go (it's kind of the worst but there is food), the next most diverse option is Chippewa. Plenty of chain type stuff and some other options as well. The pizza spot is D&G Pizza in Beaverfalls and conveniently there is a brewery next door, which is needed because you can't eat in at D&G. It's part of the charm. Of course there is always Giuseppi's on the far side of the Turnpike, it's decent enough, and service is usually okay. I don't want to be too enthusiastic about Giuseppi's, a waitress threatened to stab me once in there. I provoked it, so it's my fault really. There used to be a good Chinese spot down in Elwood City, and if you cross the bridge, there is a reasonable bar with satisfactory food. Not that anybody else would know where the bridge is, I just don't know the street names to tell you where to go. All of this in mind, the king of the Beaverfalls restaurants (IMO) is The Corner Tavern. I haven't been there in years, but the last time I went it was hand made Italian food made by some woman who had to be at least 1000 years old. It was delicious and so cheap I felt guilty I didn't do the dishes afterwards.
