As an Introduction of Myself and Formula 3...
I'm a new member to the Apex website, and I see how effective this site is to discuss the passion we all share for open-wheel racing, or any form of racing really.
With so many different types of open-wheel categories out there, (more so in North America than elsewhere) how does one choose which formula class is right for them?
And why does Formula 3 have 10 different Championships around the world all operating as their own independent "franchises" but so far none in North America?
I invite people to voice in their opinion, (please keep it professional) and discuss the differences of Formula 3 to any and all the other open-wheel Series' here...:checkered:
Good to see another F3 car...
Topper, great to see another F3 car out there ofcourse. I hope this forum section can spur more of us to come forward to discuss their Formula 3 cars and how they perform.
Allof, if anything I think the landscape is even more crowded and worse than during those times 12 years ago. I counted on this forum alone 15+ open wheel junior formulas all running cars today. Seems like everyone out there wants their own Series and build their own bespoke cars to sell.
And, I don't know of any major event formula to give money to a lower, non-associated formula. Yes, Indy and Indy Lights have a happy marriage and some funding may be passed around in there, but would a Grand Am or ALMS pay money to have an Atlantic or Formula 3 Series run during their race weekends? If so, where do I sign up!...:D
Scam City Episode # P1 - Motorsports Scammers...
If you want to talk about scammers, I've had this guy KC Webb from Utah call me out of the blue last week saying he's going to buy Miller Motorsports Park for $90 mill, and he's got all the casinos in Las Vegas in his backpocket because he's "good friends" with Steve Wynn and all the other casino owners and he wants to buy the IndyCar Series or reap revenge on them with another form of formula racing and blah, blah, blah and even more blahs! believe me!
But I knew it was a big scam from the very beginning, as well as Floridian Clay Malooley's previous efforts. I said to KC, "step up and buy my Formula 3 car for $92,000 and I'll ship you more cars" then ofcourse I never heard back from him again. So as I've already seen, you guys are very apprehensive in trusting new people to this site or to motorsports in general, heed my warning of these 2 others that you may not know of yet, because they may call 1 day.
